posted Mar 31st, 2024 - The NSL News has recorded many NSL Live Talk conversations with the best 4-way and 8-way teams and competitors in the world. NMP PCH HayaBusa members have been motivated participants of the conversations and have shared many of their own thoughts and experiences with the NSL News audience, at least since they won their first world championship titles.

However, it is still unusual when NSL Live Talk with the same participants takes place in very short succession. HayaBusa's current team captain and 4-time world champion (2014 - 2016 - 2018 - 2021) Dennis Praet discussed his team's current situation after the most recent outdoor training camp in New Zealand with the NSL News on March 28th.

The team update and the evaluation of the Shamrock Showdown 2024 was just recorded a few days ago, and it included more interesting thoughts of HayaBusa's introduction and integration of new team members. The team's world champion members of the past years had to become experts in this very important procedure, and they have shared their way to success with new team mates openly. The current lineup consists of two member with multiple indoor and outdoor world championship gold medals in their collections (Dennis Praet - Jeroen "Bob" Nollet) and two members who try to win their first ones (Neal Willems - Ray Lodens). The experiences of the HayaBusa world champions have been shared with the audience comprehensively and regularly, and the new team members were introduced by the NSL News carefully and also with their own commentary of the situation and the upcoming challenges.

Only one new member in the HayaBusa history did not require as much maintenance and guidance when a new selection had to be made. Highly talented Michele Silvi was already on world-class performance level with his former Italian team Amnesya when he joined the Belgian 4-way national team in 2020. The new HayaBusa lineup needed only one year to win Michele Silvi's own first world championship gold medal together.

Current HayaBusa seniors Dennis Praet and Jeroen Nollet both were new to the world's 4-way top level when they were selected for new lineups, Dennis Praet in 2011, Jeroen Nollet in 2015. They can use their own experiences to guide their new team mates to the same level. Dennis Praet missed the first gold medal by a single point in Dubai 2012 and then won with the 2014 lineup after his first four years with NMP PCH HayaBusa. Jeroen Nollet needed even less time to start from almost 4-way scratch and end up as a 4-way world champion after only two years. He had to replace Roy Janssen in the tail slot of the first HayaBusa world champion lineup. Dennis Praet and Jeroen Nollet both have their own experiences with beginning from scratch and how to become a 4-way world champion. The latest NSL Live Talk conversation is an attempt to add fresh experiences of new team members to the HayaBusa history.

New inside center Neal Willems was selected in 2022 when original member and 4-time world champion Andy Grauwels did not continue after winning his 4th title at the FAI Tanay Mondial in August 2021. Neal Willems trained and competed with four world champions (Dennis Praet, Jeroen Nollet, Michele Silvi, David Grauwels on camera) only for one year, as Michele Silvi left the team after the 23rd FAI World Cup of Formation Skydiving in Norway last year. However, Neal Willems can now use his own first experiences to help integrate the newest HayaBusa member, Ray Lodens, who was selected at the end of 2023.

The current lineup is actually on three different levels at this point in time. Two multiple 4-way world champions are still in the process of lifting Neal Willems to the gold-medal level, while all three of them, plus 4-time world champion David Grauwels, work together for new member Ray Lodens.

Dennis Praet, Neal Willems and Ray Lodens were present at this weekend's BENELUX Championship in different positions. Dennis Praet was coaching teams on the top of the AAA Class leaderboard, Neal Willems competed for AYRO as a substitute, and Ray Lodens joined his brother's team Hybrid on the AA Class leaderboard. Then they provided their most interesting feedback for NSL Live Talk at the end of the first competition day. Dennis Praet in his new outside center slot for NMP PCH HayaBusa mentioned that he is also new to FAI gold-medal level, at least in his new exit position. Only Jeroen Nollet joined the team in the tail slot and will try to win his 4th gold medal in the same position.
