posted Apr 24th, 2024 - More other events took place while the Formation Skydiving competition world was following the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024. Next to the always ongoing Indoor Cloud League events, there was also the last indoor meet of the Czech Tunnel League's winter season on the competition agenda.

As recently very usual, Czech national 4-way Open Class indoor and outdoor team Skywalkers Junior and national 4-way Junior team HF Chameleons battled out their friendly rivalry over the ten rounds, and the Chameleons won this time by three points. The two young Czech 4-way teams have faced each other eight times during the indoor winter season since November 2023, and Skywalkers Junior won the 80-round duel by 50 points (1810 - 1860).

Both teams won four of the eight indoor duels, and the 4-way Junior team, HF Chameleons, are the national indoor champions in 4-way Open and 4-way Junior both. They won the Czech Indoor Open 2024 in January by two points over Skywalkers Junior.

However, the Czech Republic was actually represented by a different team at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024. Neither HF Chameleons nor Skywalkers Junior traveled to China for last week's competition, and Crazy Dragons finished within the Top 10 for the Czech Republic.

HF Chameleons did not have an opportunity to compete in their category, 4-way Junior, at the indoor world cup. The NSL News reported earlier that FAI/ISC decided to put the 4-way Junior event on a hold, after only two national teams had signed up for the indoor world championship last year.

Skywalkers Junior are the official Czech national team in 4-way Open after winning the indoor championship in January. However, they have recently not been the strongest Czech 4-way team. The NSL News reported on 2 November 2023 that Crazy Dragons would have a comeback with a new lineup.

Crazy Dragons, with former HF Flying Rebels junior Denisa Jeziakova in the lineup, had their comeback at the beginning of the indoor winter season in November 2023, after 12 years of hibernation since 2011. They attended the same monthly meets and 70 competition rounds as Skywalkers Junior and HF Chameleons did and missed only last week's event when they competed in China instead.

Crazy Dragons ended up behind Skywalkers Junior and HF Chameleons on the first four AAA Class leaderboards before taking over the top spot at the February event. They confirmed the new Czech power rankings at the March meet and then competed for the Czech Republic in China.

Crazy Dragons at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Denisa Jeziakova used to be team mates with Michal Mikulisek, Krystof Rulf and Martin Stransky and won indoor world championships and world cups together with them for the HF Flying Rebels. Michal Mikulisek, Krystof Rulf and Martin Stransky then started with outdoor training and competition and formed Skywalkers Junior.

Denisa Jeziakova came back with her father, former Bad Boys member Marian Jeziak, and with two former HF Flying Circus members, Dasa Bezdzkova and Martina Vavackova. Crazy Dragons now perform on the same level where HF Flying Circus concluded their team career at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023.

Crazy Dragons also defended the Top 10 position for the Czech Republic successfully, which HF Flying Circus usually claimed at previous FAI/ISC events. They had to fend off Dutch team Out Of The Blue and Netunos from Brazil to take the 9th place. Martina Vavackova and Jan Klapka had also introduced their 8-way project team OctopuCZ for the first time in competition under the Veloce QRF umbrella at the Weembi FS Cup earlier this month. Five seasoned Czech 4-way competitors joined Martina Vavackova and Jan Klapka for the 8-way project, together with Ian Hodgkinson, before Martina Vavackova and her Crazy Dragons went back to 4-way competition in China.
