Did You Know...

... that CSC Constellation XP managed and performed for ICL Paraclete XP?

New XPG4 lineup at the indoor world cup
posted May 20th, 2024 - Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team took a long break after posting the last scores and videos in June 2023. Paraclete XP's organizers and coaches have a very busy schedule as full-time professionals in event management and as competitors. Priorities between the tasks on the busy plates change, and competing for national and international medals is usually on the top of the list for all role models in Formation Skydiving.

XPG4 members have been organizing Indoor Cloud League events at Paraclete XP in the most recent years, and preparations for the major events require their full attention. This year, XPG4 competed at the national indoor championship on home turf and traveled to China for the FAI Indoor World Cup, as well.

The major event of the 2024 season, the FAI Outdoor World Championships 2024 is still coming up in October, and XPG4 plan to turn the FAI bronze medals of 2022 into the same FAI gold that they won last year at the FAI Outdoor World Cup in Norway.

Training with the new lineup is crucial to defend the world's top position in 4-way Women successfully. New member Jennifer Davidson has just recently become available for indoor and outdoor training. Jeana Billings and Michelle Karamon are in new slots to accommodate the new lineup in its most promising constellation. However, Paraclete XP's Indoor Cloud League team was still back in action in April, and the May scores and videos are already posted.

The Paraclete XP team joined the Indoor Cloud League in 2017 and became instantly one of the top contenders, month after month. The won the 2nd place behind the Czech ICL team at the Hurricane Factory at the end of the first year, and the 2018 season featured the closest race in the Indoor Cloud League history on the top of the leaderboard, with a 2-point advantage (1461 - 1459) for the Czech team after all twelve monthly duels.

There was a larger gap between the same two ICL teams on the top of the leaderboard in 2019 only after Paraclete XP missed a scoring number for the month of June. The placing order was the same at the end of the 2020 season, even though the implications of the corona virus crisis had left large gaps on the annual leaderboard.

iFLY Dallas had token the top spot at the end of the the 2021 season, after Hurricane Factory and Paraclete XP both missed several months due to the same reasons as in 2020. Kyle Hermberg's ICL team in Texas defended the top spot next year with a perfect 12-month record, and Paraclete XP was back in 2nd place without any missing scores, as well. The next duel took place between iFLY Dallas and Hurricane Factory, and the Czech teams took the top position after winning the last month of the 2023 season. It was the same year when Paraclete XP's hibernation period began at half-time, and shortly before XPG4 won the outdoor world cup gold medals in Norway.

The XPG4 members are even more engaged in preparations for the outdoor world championship, as they train and compete with a new lineup. However, there was at least support available for the Indoor Cloud League competition in May. Paraclete XP's ICL team performed the six monthly sequences in their 16-foot flying chamber in Raeford, and the complete CSC Constellation XP lineup (Natalie Rodriguez, Leslie Noble, Russell Bayuk, Brad Strock) managed and player-coached at the event for Paraclete XP.

The NSL News reported on March 27th that the the ICL Midwest team continues with CSC Constellation XP leadership this year, after a 2023 season with inconsistent participation. The ICL Midwest team with new leadership submitted scores and videos beginning in February and even added the management for the Paraclete XP event in May before the new scores for ICL Midwest.

The ICL event at Paraclete XP was held by CSC Constellation XP on the Cinco De Mayo weekend, and the participants were treated to Mexican food, Mexican beer and margaritas at the end of the event. Midwest AAA/Advanced Class team SDC Rhuthless took care of the two Open Class sequences (AAA/AA) and started their slot scramble with the A Class sequence. The current lineup, now with Mandy Echevarria for former player-coach Steve Lefkowitz, participated in the ICL May event at Paraclete XP, and used the same sequences to switch the team members around between the top and bottom pieces. The 2024 season is the third year together for Rhuthless members Jaime Caldwell, Marion Stallworth and Dan Schultz. AA/Intermediate Class team CSC Constellation XP may have to perform the Open Class sequence for May by themselves back in the Midwest.
