Did You Know...

... that AeroDynamics impressed at the team's first outdoor competition?

Awards after one round in the Netherlands
posted Jun 17th, 2024 - Sherry Butcher has been operating the AerOhio Skydiving Center for many years. She is also one of USPA's National Directors and Vice President of USPA's Board of Directors. At AerOhio she is the busiest AFF instructor and jumps as much as she can, including 4-way in any slot that she is required to fill, while she keeps her skydiving home in perfect shape.

The NSL News visited the AerOhio Skydiving Center when Ed Ganley launched the Great Lakes Skydiving League 2024 season last weekend. Sherry Butcher competed on Saturday with one of her local RRR Class teams in the tail slot and followed up on Sunday with the remaining rounds for Ed Ganley's AerOhio Resurgence team, now as the inside center. She had warmed up with another lineup on Friday in the point slot.

Sherry Butcher has also supported local 4-way team AeroDynamics as much as possible on their way to the team's first national outdoor championship in September. She is the first person at her skydiving center in the morning, and she leaves at the end of the day with the same big smile on her face that she welcomes every visitor in the morning with. She has worked together with Ed Ganley, a passionate local 4-way and 8-way competitor who can also not get enough of freefall time and skydiving events, indoors or outdoors, all across the United States. Together with Nicole Land they also brought back the activities of the Great Lakes Skydiving League, as the NSL News reported on 16 January 2023.

AA Class team AeroDynamics attended their first competition together as a team last weekend, which was also the first competition experience at all for a few team members. The complete lineup has attended indoor training camps of SDC Rhythm XP this year, while the training and competition rounds at AerOhio last weekend were the first 4-way outdoor experience this year.

AeroDynamics shared their first team scores on the AA Class leaderboard with teams in the Netherlands and Germany who had synchronized their competition draws once again with the one of the NSL 4-way Network. The teams at Paranodon Illertissen in Germany were finally able to get back in the air after heavy rain in the past weeks had turned the runway in Illertissen temporarily into a big lake.

All teams in Germany completed the same ten rounds as the ones at AerOhio, while the Tomscat Trophy in the Netherlands was almost completely weathered out. Event organizer Mike Pennock reported from Hoogeveen that the Dutch weather was miserable all weekend long. He had to hand out the precious awards to the teams after only one completed round. AeroDynamics were able to outscore most of the armada of German AA Class teams and placed 2nd behind Futura 6.9 Paranodon, with father Andreas Trögele and son Julius once again in the 2024 lineup. The NSL News met with AeroDynamics, Sherry Butcher and Ed Ganley after the conclusion of the weekend for a NSL Live Talk conversation.
