posted Jul 1st, 2024 - Two of the four teams at the Paraclete XP Summer Classic 2024, XPG4 and XP Falcons, competed with different lineups at the event before attending the USPA Nationals later this year. RhEvolution XP are in the second year with the same lineup, as the NSL News reported on June 27th, and new A Class team AirGo from Florida attended their third meet this year without any personnel changes in front of the camera. AirGo have a new team videographer with Justin Bender, who has been filming the team at the last two meets, and they also switched some of the slots after the April meet of the Florida Skydiving League.

XPG4 eventually had Jennifer Davidson in their lineup, who will continue in the point slot throughout the FAI Outdoor World Championships in October. XP Falcons did not have their complete current lineup available for the Paraclete XP Summer Classic and substituted tail Jeffrey Freese with Jillian Hix.

In fact, XP Falcons have not competed once yet with the same lineup since the team was formed in 2023. The complete current lineup is actually the one that took the 2nd place of the AA/Intermediate Class competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship in February this year (Joy Jing, Flaviane Venditti, Gustavo Alvarado, Jeffrey Freese). The 2nd place at the national indoor championship was the only event with the complete lineup so far, even though XP Falcons have a busy indoor and outdoor training schedule with head coach Jeana Billings.

XP Falcons at the Paraclete XP Summer Classic 2024

XP Falcons were launched by Joy Jing and Gustavo Alvarado at the Paraclete XP Summer Classic 2023, where the two local Paraclete XP competitors competed in the AA/Intermediate Class, with Josh Evans and Nicole Land in the lineup, Jamie Currie on camera.

XP Falcons with team founders Joy Jing and Gustavo Alvarado stepped down to the A/Beginner Class and a different lineup for the USPA Nationals 2023, where they had Eric Harper (Outside Center) and Holly Scott Sujack (Point) in the lineup, with Michael Koch on camera.

Original tail Joy Jing and original point Gustavo Alvarado, now at inside center, were in the same slots that they started in with the new lineup and won USPA silver medals, four points behind the CitiZens from Skydive City after all ten rounds. Joy Jing and Gustavo Alvarado then connected at the end of last year with another local North Carolina competitor, Jeffrey Freese, while the new 4th team member, Flaviane Venditti, joined the team visiting regularly from DeLand in Florida. The new XP Falcons lineup began with indoor training at Paraclete XP in the winter season.

Team founder Joy Jing switched from tail to her current outside center slot with the new and current lineup, and Gustavo Alvarado continued as inside center. Flaviane Venditti (Point) and Jeffrey Freese (Tail) took the open slots, and the new slot assignments worked out very well.

XP Falcons with the new lineup added a second set of silver medals to the team collection, this time at the national indoor championship in their Paraclete XP home chamber and in the AA/Intermediate Class. The AA Class winner, CSC Constellation XP, also with a new lineup, were out of reach in February this year.

However, the new XP Falcons lineup was showing the potential to follow up as an outdoor contender this year, as well. The 4th competition of the XP Falcons then featured the 4th different lineup at the Paraclete XP Summer Classic 2024. Jeffrey Freese was not available, and XP Falcons 8-way member Jillian Hix filled the open tail slot, even though she was previously trained for the 4-way point position. Indoor and outdoor training will now continue with the complete lineup and team videographer Chris Weber, and XP Falcons will be well prepared to pursue new medal positions at this year's USPA Nationals.
