posted Jul 3rd, 2024 - The NSL News mentioned with the Indoor Cloud League update from the Hurricane Factory in the Czech Republic on June 28th that Skywalkers Junior were helping out with indoor scores for the two Open Class sequences (AAA/AA) on the current ICL June leaderboard.

It was a short excursion back to the indoor environment of Prague's Hurricane Factory, which used to be their only playground for many years. The 4-way juniors have turned into 4-way seniors of Skywalkers Junior, and they have taken the Czech top positions in both environments by now.

The coming weekend features the youngest 4-way outdoor team in the world at their 5th outdoor competition since June 2023, when they posted their first 8.4 outdoor average after eight rounds in the AA Class competition. Skywalkers Junior did not stay for very long in the AA Class, as they have been very familiar with the complete AAA Class dive pool since 2021. HF Flying Rebels and HF Chameleons, with the current Skywalkers Junior members in their lineups, were still the best 4-way AA/Intermediate/Junior team in the world while they already trained the AAA Class sequences intensively.

HF Flying Circus - Skywalkers Junior: Highest Meet Averages Outdoors

Skywalkers Junior were out of reach on the AAA Class leaderboard in June, as the NSL News reported on June 12th, while the 15.1 average in Prostejov was just the outdoor starting point for the 2024 season. There is a very good chance that the scoring and performance level this weekend will already be significantly higher.

The main focus in the Czech summer season is outdoor training and competition. Jan Klapka still continues the Indoor Cloud League presence with the 4-way juniors who are not on summer vacation and holidays with their families. However, the monthly meets of the Czech Tunnel League resume in November, after the conclusion of the outdoor competition season.

Skywalkers Junior have caught up with the strongest Czech 4-way team in the history of the country's Formation Skydiving competition. HF Flying Circus, with Jakub Klapka in the tail slot, replaced the Bad Boys, with his father Jan Klapka in the lineup, as the national 4-way indoor and outdoor team. Jakub Klapka is now on camera for Skywalkers Junior. HF Flying Circus did not continue after the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023 in Slovakia, where they finished within the Top 10 positions, and Skywalkers Junior were formed as a team at that time.

It took Skywalkers Junior little over a year to arrive at the indoor and outdoor scoring and performance level where HF Flying Circus had left it. The previous national team posted their highest 10-round average (15.0) at the July meet of the Czech Skydiving League 2019. The same lineup (Martina Vavackova, Dagmar Bezdekova, Lukas Kaderabek, Jakub KLapka) then concluded the team's outdoor career with the 14.1 at the FAI Outdoor World Championships 2022.

HF Flying Circus are still slightly ahead of Skywalkers Junior with indoor scores. However, the next Czech indoor season, beginning in November, will probably include the new national 4-way team's climbing up to the next higher indoor scoring level, as well.

Skywalkers Junior have been sponsored by the Skywalkers tandem operation at their home dropzone in Most. They can train there as much as they want to, and they do spend as much time there as they can. Jan Klapka is running his own skydiving school at the same place, which includes the transition of 4-way indoor juniors to outdoor competitors. The upcoming second outdoor competition this year takes place on home turf for Skywalkers Junior, which includes the challenging exits from the PAC jump plane. Skywalkers Junior posted the 15.1 average in June with exits from the larger door of the Antonov AN-2 in Prostejov.
