Did You Know...

... that ICL Midwest and iFLY Fort Lauderdale tied their June total?

CSC Constellation XP's Block 10 finish in February
posted Jul 16th, 2024 - The same three teams at iFLY Fort Lauderdale in South Florida posted once again the scores for the six Indoor Cloud League sequences last month, 4Action (AAA/AA), Volaticus (A/RRR) and Under Construction (RR/R).

It is an interesting coincidence that the ICL Midwest team has two teams who are also posting ICL scores regularly for the same categories, CSC Constellation XP (AAA/AA) and CSC Singularity (A/RRR/RR/R).

The same four teams competed at outdoor events in the same month, as well, while they did not share the same June leaderboards and competition draws. The ICL leaderboard for the month of June finally brought all four teams together, even though they did not perform the same sequences. 4Action and CSC Constellation XP both performed once again the two FAI/ISC/USPA Open Class sequences (AAA/AA), Volaticus posted the A and RRR Class scores for iFLY Fort Lauderdale, while CSC Singularity took care of the other two Rookie Class sequences (RR/R) in June.

It was an even bigger coincidence that both ICL teams, iFLY Fort Lauderdale and ICL Midwest ended up with the same total number of points for the six sequences last month. Neither ICL Midwest nor iFLY Fort Lauderdale were able to get close to the Czech scoring numbers, while they challenged each other for the position behind the Hurricane Factory.

Indoor Cloud League June 2024 Highscores: iFLY Fort Lauderdale
AA/Intermediate Class opponent 4Action
The last time when two Indoor Cloud League teams tied each other's monthly total was in September 2022 when Hurricane Factory and iFLY Colorado Springs ended up tied in 3rd place with a total of 114 points each.

AA/Intermediate Class opponents CSC Constellation XP and 4Action tested each other once again with the FAI/ISC/USPA Open Class slot-switching AAA sequence, and the Midwest team won this duel easily. Block 10 created the slot-switcher for the front piece, and CSC Constellation XP applied the more traditional technique this time.

Constellation's special Block 10 technique for a different sequence in February (J-21-D-10) had caught the attention of the NSL News on April 1st. Both teams were much closer for the AA sequence, which could be drawn for a AA/Intermediate Class competition.

Florida team Volaticus then had the upper hand in the next two categories (A/RRR) while CSC Singularity collected ICL points for the RR/R sequences to eventually tie the total. Volaticus have competed outdoors in the AA/Intermediate Class, Singularity in the A/Beginner Class. All four teams will face each other directly at the USPA Nationals, 4Action and CSC Constellation XP in the AA/Intermediate Class, Volaticus and Singularity in one or the other category.
