Did You Know...

... that ICL Midwest had a colorful Indoor Cloud League July lineup?

CSC Singularity with substitute Russell Bayuk
posted Aug 10th, 2024 - The complete CSC Constellation XP lineup was back to perform once again the AAA/AA sequenes of the Indoor Cloud League July draw, and team members Natalie Rodriguez and Russell Bayuk guided the other four lineups through the other sequences. Russell Bayuk also filled the slot for CSC Singularity's Gus Bitterbender, who was not available for the ICL July event at iFLY Naperville.

Paul Webster, who has been filming CSC Constellation XP this year, had his own lineup (Dan Reuber, Josh Hitchcock, Ken Serrine) who performed the two A/RRR Class sequences and posted the highscores for the ICL Midwest team in July.

CSC Constellation XP have now almost completed the whole AAA/Open/Advanced Class dive pool this year, even though the team is still eligible and competes in the AA/Intermediate Class at this year's USPA Nationals. Five of the six slot-switching blocks (5-10-12-16-17) were part of the AAA Class sequences between January and July, and the missing Block 3 (Side Body Donut - Side Falke Donut) will be part of the remaining five monthly ICL draws. The AAA Class sequences of the monthly ICL draw can never be drawn in a AA/Intermediate Class competition, as each of them is assigned to the most challenging part of the AAA/Open/Advanced categories, with one slot-switching block and a 6-point sequence. It offers AAA Class teams and competitors every month a test of their most challenged skills.

Mustangs! with Sally and Chuck Finley
Paul Webster and his lineup took on the two AAA/AA sequences, as well. In fact, they performed five of the six sequences and left only the R Class sequence for two other lineups on a lower experience level. CSC Constellation XP member Natalie Rodriguez was player-coaching Michael Fuentes, Mateusz Sirant and James Spencer to the highscore in this category.

There was one other lineup who performed five of the sequences. Danni Dye, Nick Yoder, Sally and Chuck Finley skipped the AAA Class sequence and then enjoyed performing all the other ones. It was the only team that did not post one of the six ICL Midwest highscores.

Team members Sally and Chuck Finley are not new to 4-way competition or to almost any other formation skydiving events, between 4-way and large formations. They competed with one of the most colorful 4-way lineups in the AA/Intermediate Class of the USPA Nationals 2023. 4-way VFS legend Jason Russell was in their Mustangs! lineups, together with Ed Ganley, who's skydiving profile was recently featured in USPA's Parachutist magazine. Jason Russell was back in 4-way VFS, as well, where his SDC Core team won again. Ed Ganley trains, competes and coaches teams and competitors at AerOhio, where the next event of the Great Lakes Skydiving League is coming up soon.
