posted Aug 22nd, 2024 - Kyle Hermberg's Indoor Cloud League team at iFLY Dallas had only eight participants available last month to perform the July sequences. He had to choose wisely how to set up the lineups and assign them to the six different sequences.

He was aware of the ICL rules and could eventually not use all the scores that his July team generated, as the same participants may only score in two neighboring categories. Result was a set of four scores and videos for the month of July in the middle of the summer season and the preparations for the upcoming national outdoor championship.

Kyle Hermberg said that he used the opportunity of a small ICL event to offer participants a chance to try different slots and learn new blocks. Alexa Boushey used to be in the point slot for Dallas Valkyrie, and she performed in the tail slot for three sequences (RRR - A - AA).

Zoe Rojo had still competed in the R/Beginner Class at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2024, and she has begun training the AA/Intermediate Class dive pool. The AA Class sequences of the Indoor Cloud League could always be drawn for an Open/Advanced Class (AAA) and an Intermediate Class (AA) competition both, and her lineup with Alexa Boushey, Donaldo Grajeda and Kyle Hermberg performed three of the six ICL sequences. Kyle Hermberg selected logically the two highest scores for the July total. Former Dallas Dynasty member Michael Erickson took Zoe Rojo's slot for the slot-switching AAA Class sequence.

The third lineup at iFLY Dallas produced two of the three Rookie Class scores (R - RR) with a more experienced lineup. The extremely clean R Class performance actually generated 40 points withing the 35 seconds of working time and had to be cupped at the 25-point maximum.

The inclusion of the two Open Class sequences (AAA - AA) on the July leaderboard actually creates an interesting competition between the teams at iFLY Fort Lauderdale, ICL Midwest and iFLY Dallas. CSC Constellation XP and 4Action performed the two sequences for their ICL teams, and the two different iFLY Dallas lineups posted scores on the same level.

iFLY Dallas won this internal and unofficial Open Class 2-round competition by one point (26 - 25 - 22) over CSC Constellation XP and 4Action. Some of the 4-way competitors at iFLY Dallas in Texas could face the Midwest and Florida teams soon at the USPA Nationals in outdoor competition.

The July leaderboard is not complete yet, as scores and videos from the Czech Republic are still missing. Jan Klapka is busy with preparing teams and competitors for the national outdoor championship this weekend, and Indoor Cloud League information has to wait until the conclusion of the event.
