Did You Know...

... that Texas and Midwest have strong contenders for the USPA Nationals?

Spaceland Toxic at the Dallas Super Cup 2023
posted Sep 5th, 2024 - The last meet weekend of the NSL 4-way Network in August changed the situation in the NSL Power Rankings of the AA/Intermediate Class. very shortly before the start of the USPA Nationals next week.

QuadRhivium, a new team of the Midwest Skydiving League, with some experienced team members in the lineup, attended one of the last meets of the NSL 4-way Network before Round 1 at the national outdoor championship. Result was a 10.9 average after ten rounds over the weekend and the 1st place in the NSL Power Rankings.

Spaceland Toxic had taken the top spot from CSC Constellation XP after the 10.8 average for the 6-round meet weekend of the Texas Skydiving League in August. Great Lakes Skydiving League team AerOdynamics visited Skydive Chicago, as well, and finished with exactly the same meet average as in June on home turf at AerOhio, once again after ten rounds. Three AA/Intermediate Class teams have now finished with 10+ averages in the United States this year. The same three teams will most likely be the top contenders for USPA medals in the AA/Intermediate Class next week.

level to get into serious medal contention. Spaceland Toxic finished 2nd at the USPA Nationals 2023 with an 11.4 average. Team leader Demo McDonnell and Andrew Clayton are back with team videographer Melissa Coleman and two new members, Christina Edwards and Nadya McDonnell.

The new Toxic lineup obviously try to turn the 2023 silver into gold, while they will possibly be facing even more opposition this year. CSC Constellation XP were in 4th place when Toxic won their silver medals last year. The Midwest team has been considered the top contender before Toxic posted their 10.8 and QuadRhivium the 10.9 averages.

There are other AA/Intermediate Class teams who have shown the potential to pass the 10-average threshold this year, and the NSL Power Rankings provide an overview of the current situation.

Toxic Intrusive Thoughts were the strongest team on the A Class leaderboard in August. The Texas team had completed two other meets before competing at the Dallas Super Cup. The Texas 4-way delegation will be a strong one again at the USPA Nationals.
