posted Sep 24th, 2024 - The iFLY Dallas team of the Indoor Cloud League continued with 4-way training and introduction throughout the summer, even when Texas teams and competitors were in the middle of outdoor preparations for the USPA Nationals, where the U.S. Lone Star State always has a strong presence.

ICL organizer Kyle Hermberg has focused only on indoor training and competition and outdoor coaching in the past years, while participants of his indoor events are often active in both environments. There were still five different lineups at iFLY Dallas in August who joined forces to put the total of 127 points on the ICL leaderboard last month and matched the highest iFLY Dallas total of the year in June.

Several ICL Dallas participants in August had also competed at the Spaceland Dallas Super Cup, while only two of them then traveled to Skydive Chicago this month to compete at the national outdoor championship.

Texas teams still brought back USPA medals to their home state, including Spaceland Toxic and Spaceland Toxic Intrusive Thoughts, who had both attended the Dallas Super Cup, as well. The NSL News had paid attention to the Texas medal contenders early enough this year, as the updates on the Texas Skydiving League page have been showing. Spaceland Toxic won bronze medals in the AA/Intermediate Class, and Spaceland Toxic Intrusive Thoughts added their own bronze medals in the A/Beginner Class to the Texas collection.

There was still only one ICL August participant who attended the indoor and outdoor events both in Texas and then continued at the USPA Nationals. Christina Edwards had joined the Toxic lineup this year and attended the Dallas Super Cup with her team. She has been one of Kyle Hermberg's early 4-way students. She joined the iFLY Dallas team of the Indoor Cloud League in 2020 and became one of the most regular participants.

She started in the lineups who performed the three Rookie Class sequences (R - RR - RRR). Soon she joined the Flying Unicorn Circus In Training for outdoor competition and continued indoors at Kyle Hermberg's events. She joined Dallas Valkyrie for the 2022/2023 indoor events, Spaceland Disturbance Delicious for outdoor training and competition in 2023.

Christina Edwards continued to train and perform the new dive pools and sequences at the ICL indoor events, and she was eventually back together with Kyle Hermberg and Aeroworx for her first AAA/Advanced Class competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2024. Now she won her first USPA medal in the AA/Intermediate Class with Spaceland Toxic and competed in 8-way with Rhelentless. Her ICL player-coach at many indoor events, Lucas King, competed only in 16-way this year and lost a jump-off round for the gold medals with More Than Adequate.
