posted Dec 6th, 2024 - The AAA Class competition at the ISR Grand Prix 2024 included an interesting duel between two teams from Switzerland, who would both be eligible for 4-way Women competition. Their duel took place on the traditional leaderboard, as only the Weembinamic has a format with direct confrontation between two teams and elimination of one of them.

Airdrops and WingX both completed all eight rounds at the event and were separated by two points at the end of the day. The same two teams had met each other only once before, at the Swiss Indoor Nationals 2024, where Airdrops still won by nine points after ten rounds.

The leaderboards of both events are showing that Airdrops were dominating at the national indoor championship, while the competition between the same two teams in Roosendaal took place on the same performance and scoring level. In fact, WingX won seven of the eight rounds by one point (133 - 132), while Airdrops won the competition with the 27-pointer in the fast Round 5. The two Swiss teams tied two other rounds and took turns with 1-point advantages in five rounds. One Dutch team, Zooitje Geregeld, still separated the two Swiss teams on the final leaderboard.

Airdrops - WingX at the ISR Grand Prix 2024

Airdrops traveled to the Netherlands with the advantage of competition experiences. The same team had represented Switzerland in 4-way Women at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2023, where they finished ahead of three other national teams in this category.

Airdrops had launched their team the same year as a guest team at the German Indoor Nationals. They attended one more indoor competition, last year's national indoor championship, before traveling to the Hurricane Factory in Slovakia for the indoor world championship. The same lineup came back this year for the Wind Games and two more meets before the ISR Grand Prix.

WingX were back at the same place in Roosendaal where they completed their first indoor competition in November 2023 with the 1st place on the AA Class leaderboard (SuisseR). They continued in the AAA Class this year and finished almost on the same scoring level after stepping up from the AA Class. Airdrops still won both duels this year and would be qualified for the 4-way Women competition at the FAI Indoor World Championship at Paraclete XP in April next year.
