posted Jan 24th, 2025 - Yesterday's NSL Live Talk conversation with Gary Smith included a preview of the upcoming Wind Games in Spain and the first NSL Power Rankings. Solly Williams mentioned a day earlier that Arizona Airspeed will not attend the competition due to reasons of eligibility for new team member Alisson de Vargas.

Two other U.S. teams will compete in Empuriabrava and are expected to finish on the top of the leaderboard behind the world's arguably new 4-way leader, Aethers Medjay from France. The Golden Knights and their coach Niklas Hemlin will test the strength of the French national team in 4-way Open, Niklas Hemlin with his strong indoor lineup of Tunnel Vision (Michelle Karamon, Brenn Richards, Keith Conner).

The NSL News will take a closer look at the AAA Class Power Rankings before the start of the indoor competition next week. There seem to be a few more teams who may join Golden Knights and Tunnel Vision in the group that is expected to finish behind the French favorites, including another young French team that competes under the Monaco flag. Monaco F1 is probably the lineup of the former Aerokart Ak'demie juniors who have grown to 4-way senior competitors and are indoor experts. The different young lineups of this French generation behind the national teams in 4-way Open and 4-way Women could interfere with the expected AAA Class rankings and the battle for medal positions.

There is also one team in the 4-way field whose members have not yet transitioned from 4-way junior eligibility to senior 4-way competition. The Czech Panthers have not even attended a AAA Class competition yet.

Team members Pavla Mlynkova and Aneta Parizkova are original team members of the Panthers, who were the Smajilci Rookie Class team when they started in Jan Klapka's 4-way school in 2020. Elen Zielinska and Mikolas Velicka joined Pavla Mlynkova and Aneta Parizkova in 2022 and moved up to A Class competition.

The same lineup continued and will now complete their first AAA Class competition together in Spain. They have competed at 22 indoor events since November 2022 and completed their last ten rounds of AA Class sequences at the Czech Open Indoor Championship 2025 last week. The Wind Games will be the second bigger international 4-way competition for the Panthers. They traveled to Roosendaal in the Netherlands in November 2023 to attend the ISR Grand Prix, where they placed 4th on the AA Class leaderboard.

Panthers at the ISR Grand Prix 2023 and the Czech Open Indoor 2025

The Wind Games will be the first AAA Class competition for the Panthers, and they will enter the flying chamber next to the best 4-way teams in the world for the first time. However, the team members are better prepared for the new international experience and the ten AAA Class sequences than it may seem.

The Panthers will perform their ten AAA Class sequences together for the first time, while they have been familiar with the complete dive pool for a little while. The NSL News reported with the updates of the Czech Open Indoor that the Panthers won the AA Class competition with their complete lineup, while the team members also went through the AAA Class competition with two different teams, Crazy Dragons and Wind4ce.

At the Hurricane Factory, they re-joined forces for the AA Class competition, while they have only the ten AAA Class sequences on the agenda when they will be in Empuriabrava, Spain, for the Wind Games next week. Crazy Dragons posted a 21.4 average at the Czech Open Indoor, Wind4ce finished with a 16.5 average, both on the AAA leaderboard. The Panthers with their complete lineup will probably be found somewhere between the two meet averages last week.
