posted Feb 22nd, 2025 - It's 4-way half-time after six rounds at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2025. The French Aethers Medjay are visiting North Carolina without their coach Mathieu Bernier and master the same challenge as at the Wind Games at the end of January very well.

They are at Paraclete XP to impress the U.S. audience and Formation Skydiving competition community on foreign territory, and they have been successful so far. At least NMP PCH HayaBusa had tied a few French scores in the first six rounds of the Wind Games. Aethers Medjay won each of the first six rounds on Saturday and are 15 points ahead of the Golden Knights in 2nd place.

It's hard to imagine that much could change in the remaining rounds, as the young French 4-way competitors have been gaining confidence round by round. They had a few nervous situations in the first three rounds that caused the three point deductions. Then they probably realized that they are simply faster and better and did not need to worry about speed any longer. The next three rounds were flawless, and the 1st place is once again secured, this time at Paraclete XP. This outcome was obviously expected after the Wind Games, as the NSL News previews and NSL Power Rankings were showing. The main question at this point in time is only which U.S. team might be able to tie or win one of the remaining four rounds. The Golden Knights have turned the table with Tunnel Vision, and Arizona Airspeed has the expected strong performance at the first competition with the new lineup.

Ranch 2nd Generation members Michelle Karamon and Brenn Richards are currently five points ahead of Joey Marshall and Chris Kuhlmann who have moved their new team mates up the performance levels quickly. Arizona Airspeed already won a round and tied another score of Tunnel Vision.

Niklas Hemlin's team did the same with the team he is coaching, won a round against the Golden Knights and tied one score. However, the U.S. Army team is seven points ahead of their coach after Round 6. SDC Rhythm XP are trying to match the speed level of the U.S. contenders in this phase of their development and make too many mistakes so far. They suffered 17 point deductions in the six rounds and would be close to Arizona Airspeed with a clean performance.

The French national team in 4-way Open is not only at Paraclete XP to impress their U.S. opponents. They will be back in town in April to take away the indoor world championship title from Arizona Airspeed, and they are also testing the wind tunnel conditions at the hosting site. Arizona Airspeed won the last indoor world championship in Slovakia 2023 by 15 points over the same Aethers lineup (323 - 308). Joey Marshall explained during NSL Live Talk that his team plans to compete for the U.S. delegation without new member Alisson de Vargas who is not eligible. Aethers Medjay seem to be ready for the challenge, no matter which team will compete for the United States.
