Did You Know...

... that Sweden's Echochamber is ready for the battle at Paraclete XP?

Ready for battle: Echochamber in Sweden last weekend
posted Mar 25th, 2025 - Sweden' s Echochamber, the national 4-way Open Class team, has been considered one of the contenders for the unofficial title of the world's amateur champion team at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025 at Paraclete XP next month.

The most recent NSL Power Rankings expected Echochamber to be a part of a group of seven teams who could be in the race for the meaningful position behind the full-time medal contenders (Aethers Medjay, Arizona Airspeed, NMP PCH HayaBusa). There is also an additional unofficial and undefined ranking position within each group that is expected to create exciting competition.

The NSL Power Rankings are based on the teams' previous and most recent scoring numbers, and Echochamber's latest scores and videos were posted after the completion of Sweden's national indoor championship last weekend. The 27.0 average is not a new team record average, which is still the 28.3 of the same lineup at the FAI European Indoor Championship 2018. However, the 27.0 last weekend is the highest indoor meet average of all the seven teams who are expected to be in the race for the 4th place. Only Aethers Medjay and three U.S. teams (Golden Knights, Tunnel Vision, Arizona Airspeed) have posted higher indoor scoring numbers this year, according to the NSL News records.

The scoring numbers of only 2025 indicate that Echochamber might have the best chances of the seven teams to take the 4th place on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard. In fact, Arizona Airspeed, who compete for the United States at the indoor world championship, have only a 27.1 average in their 2025 indoor scoring records.

At least, the U.S. team will perform on this 27+ level when Niklas Hamlin takes back his outside center slot from Alisson de Vargas, who was in the 27.1 lineup at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2025. The pressure is on new tail Doug Hendrix who will either compete for FAI silver medals with Airspeed, or he could allow Echochamber to get closer to the medal positions than it may seem at this point in time.

The previous Airspeed lineup had finished 72 points ahead of Echochamber at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024 (34.3 - 27.1) in Slovakia, and the difference will be reduced significantly at Paraclete XP. Echochamber is probably the leader of the 7-team field behind the medal positions, and there could be a chance for the Swedish team to win a round or two over NMP PCH HayaBusa or Arizona Airspeed, if there is not even more potential for a bigger surprise. At the same time, Echochamber will feel the pressure from behind, where the other six teams have their eyes on the same 4th place, as well. The only secure position seems to be the 1st place, where Aethers Medjay have created a distance to all other teams at this point in time.
