Did You Know...

... that French 8-way team No Name is now D'Arc8 for FAI Indoor?

8-way at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2025
posted Apr 8th, 2025 - Not only Skywalkers Junior used the most recent competition opportunity to get ready for the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025 at Paraclete XP, which begins on Thursday morning. The NSL News reported the latest scores from the Czech Republic with the update on April 3rd.

It was Wednesday last week when Skywalkers Junior performed the ten rounds for their new 27.9 team record average. It was even later when more competitors who travel to North Carolina attended other indoor events. Last weekend featured the annual Weembi FS Cup and the Canadian Indoor Nationals.

It was actually only one team that competed last weekend with the complete lineup who will perform Round 1 of the indoor world championship on Thursday. Several other participants attended last weekend's competitions with other teams and in other categories before representing their countries respectively with the national teams. It was the French national 8-way indoor team who had launched their short 8-way project at the Weembinamic 2024 before they even had a team name. They won the 8-way competition over Nova to qualify for the indoor world championship and then competed with exactly the same lineup and a new team name last weekend.

D'Arc8 - NOVA at the Weembi FS Cup 2025
Sian Stokes and Vana Parker with Black Hole Dynos at the Weembi FS Cup
D'Arc8/No Name won the Weembinamic 8-way competition in November last year with a 26.4 average and finished eight points ahead of Manu Sarrazin's Nova lineup, who posted a 27.3 average last weekend. Martial Ferre's 8-way team for the indoor world championship needed a 27.9 average to win by six points last weekend.

The last-minute results from Weembi Lille in France sent a clear message to U. S. team GKXP8, reigning and defending 8-way indoor and outdoor world champions. GKXP8 need at least a 28-average performance to win the next 8-way title.

The NSL News reported on April 1st that XP8 decided to compete with the world champion lineup, even though they are preparing a new lineup for the next two years. It was a smart decision from the XP8 perspective after an evaluation of the current 8-way situation. D'Arc8/No Name had posted their 26.4 average in November 2024, and the potential of the lineup promised higher results after the four months until the indoor world championship. Last weekend's 27.9 average provided the evidence that the new XP8 lineup would have their hands full at the moment trying to defend the 8-way top position of the United States. The 27.7 at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2025 would at least leave a door open for the French 8-way team in the pursuit of the indoor gold medals. Now the GKXP8 have to do the job.

Dynos - Monaco F1 at the Weembi FS Cup 2025
Team Canada at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2025
The other Weembi FS Cup and indoor world championship competitors continue with their national teams at the upcoming competition, and some of them switch back and forth between 4-way and 8-way competition. Nova 8-way member Pamela Lissajoux joins her Nephtys team mates to compete in 4-way Women at Paraclete XP.

D'Arc8/No Name members Thomas Chomel, Noe Mattoni and Thomas Misztal, who also competed with Stephane Mattoni for Monaco F1 at Weembi Lille, have only 8-way on their agenda at Paraclete XP.

Vana Parker and Sian Stokes won the 4-way competition at the Weembi FS Cup with the international Black Hole Dynos lineup. They will continue with NFTO in 4-way Open at the FAI Indoor World Championship, together with Julia Swallow and Pete Allum, while Dynos members Roy Janssen and Pal Kolbenstvedt will follow the event from their homes in Europe. Four members of the Canadian 8-way team also won the national indoor championship title in 4-way last weekend. Team Canada will probably try to stay as close as possible to the Netunos 8-way lineup from Brazil.
