Did You Know...

... that jump preparations followed opening ceremony and competition draw on Wednesday?

Preparations after opening ceremony at Skydive Paraclete
posted Apr 10th, 2025 - The last part on the last day of a world championship or world cup without any athletic performance is the opening ceremony, which usually includes the manual competition draw. However, the athletic part still begins on the creepers, and the teams and competitors do not hesitate to start with their preparations as soon as the competition draw is completed.

The opening ceremony took place at Skydive Paraclete XP in Raeford, ten minutes driving distance away from the Paraclete XP indoor facilities. Both places were built for skydiving purposes, and they are hosting teams and competitors regularly for training and competition. Creepers are a natural part of the activities, and there were plenty of them available in the hangar where the opening ceremony took place.

The NSL TV camera captured once again as much footage of the teams as possible without interfering too much. The engineering of the sequences and the following preparations for Round 1 are some of the most important tasks on the day before the competition begins. Teams have several different ways and options how to get the most important work done after the ten sequences are known. The options vary between practicing only the next round, in this case Round 1, or engineering all ten rounds. Some teams also break up the ten rounds into packages of one day's rounds only. Meet director Randy Connell was planning to complete four rounds on Thursday and Friday and finish up with two rounds on Saturday.
