Did You Know...

... that NMP PCH HayaBusa cut into the French lead?

Three reigning world champions: Arizona Airspeed
posted Apr 11th, 2025 - The next NSL Live Talk conversation with a team after Round 4 took place at the temporary headquarters of NMP PCH HayaBusa after the completion of the following four rounds in 8-way.

Belgium and Czech Republic both are smaller countries in Europe and have progressed to powerhouses in formation skydiving competition. Belgium has produced 4-way world champions with NMP PCH HayaBusa, and the Czech Republic is already the world's main player in the development of 4-way juniors. The results of Jan Klapka's 4-way school are now very visible, as Skywalkers Junior have made it to the medal positions in 4-way Open, at least for indoor competition to begin with.

The 4-way Open Class leaderboard looks very unusual, as the three medal positions are currently taken by European teams. NMP PCH HayaBusa were expected to battle with Arizona Airspeed for the 2nd place behind France. The U.S. team is now in 4th place, despite the sole highscore in Round 2, and NMP PCH HayaBusa have to fend off the young Czech team instead. The second day of 4-way competition will surely feature Arizona Airspeed in an offensive state of performance. The reigning outdoor world champions are known for their ability to come back from behind. However, at least the three members of the previous lineup (Niklas Hemlin, Joey Marshall, Chris Kuhlmann) are used to be on the top of the leaderboard and are not used to begin the second day of a competition from behind, after dominating the world's 4-way leaderboards for four years.

2-point battle in Australia 2018: HayaBusa and Airspeed
NMP PCH HayaBusa will be prepared for a more aggressive Airspeed approach on the second day of the competition. They have two 4-way world champions in their lineup (Dennis Praet, Jeroen Nollet), who have experienced any possible situation, including Arizona Airspeed pushing from behind.

However, the Belgians are not so much interested in what is happening behind them, even though they are well aware of the new opponent on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard. They have never competed against Skywalkers Junior before, even though they attended some of the same events when the Czech team members competed in the 4-way Junior category. In fact, HayaBusa's 4-time world champion and current team videographer David Grauwels has been helping Skywalkers Junior with coaching on their way to the top of the world.

NMP PCH HayaBusa are looking at the top of the leaderboard that they are aiming at in the near future. They were surprised that they are actually closer to Aethers Medjay after Round 4 than they had expected. Seven points separate France and Belgium at the moment. There was a 15-point distance after four rounds when the two teams competed with and against each other last time they met, at the Wind Games 2025 in January. HayaBusa had tied Aethers Medjay in Round 1 at the Wind Games and lost the following three rounds by the same 15 points. They have not won or tied a French round at Paraclete XP yet, while the difference is down to seven points at the moment.
