posted Jun 16th, 2025 - The NSL News has followed the 4-way history of the German national teams in 4-way Open and 8-way, with the ever-changing Airbus lineups, for many years. The most recent update covered the new lineup on April 23rd for the 2-year time period until the next outdoor world championship.

The NSL News update included NSL Live Talk with the team members of the new lineup after the completion of a 2-week training camp at Skydive DeLand and the ten competition rounds of the Shamrock Showdown 2025. Airbus had finished the first 4-way outdoor competition of the year with a 16.5 average, and the team evaluated their performance and discussed the plans for the near future with the NSL News.

Only team captain and outside center Tom Mack and former tail Felix Pfeiffer were back from the previous lineup who finished in 6th place at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2024 with a 19.0 average, plus Tim Mack on camera after a short call to filming action a few weeks before the trip to Crystal Coast in North Carolina. The earlier update after the Shamrock Showdown was featuring new team member Moritz Mack, Tim Mack's older brother, who has been on camera for his father and his brother this year.

Airbus 4-way Illertissen at the Paranodon Cup 2025

Airbus knew in April that they would attend the annual Paranodon Cup in Illertissen, Germany, before their main event this year at the national outdoor championship. The Mack family, with Claire Rebhahn and Felix Pfeiffer, needed competition practice together, more than only the ten rounds at the Shamrock Showdown.

The Paranodon Cup was the perfect opportunity on half-way towards the German Outdoor Nationals at the beginning of September. The progress was even better than expected, as father and team captain Tom Mack admitted to the NSL News. The 18.0 average was out of reach for any other AAA Class team that applied the same competition draw, and it is promising the position of the top contender for the German outdoor championship title this year,

New Airbus videographer Moritz Mack has already arrived at the top level of 4-way competition video and did not cause any point deductions at all after a few video issues at the Shamrock Showdown. The previous Airbus lineup won the national outdoor title with a 19.1 average, and the new lineup has more than two months to lift the performance level to the 19+ level. The AA Class leaderboard required a few adjustments, as the teams from the four different countries (Germany, Great Britain, Czech Republic, United States) completed different numbers of rounds. Teams from Germany, United States and Switzerland posted scores in the AAA Class.
