Did You Know...

... that the Golden Knights transition from Laurinburg to Skydive Paraclete for the XP Summer Classic?

Golden Knights and NMP PCH HayaBusa in Laurinburg
posted Jun 20th, 2025 - The joint venture training camp of Golden Knights and NMP PCH HayaBusa at the Golden Knights headquarters in Laurinburg concluded with another friendship ceremony that took place after the last training jump on Thursday. The teams came together in the hangar after jumping and debriefing, where Dennis Praet presented a framed picture with a friendship address dedicated to the U.S. Army team.

Lieutenant Colonel Alan Wilson, new commander of the U.S. Army Parachute Team, returned the gift with a special medal that he handed out to each HayaBusa member at the end of the day. Both teams continued with more training on Friday before the Belgians had to break down their camp and prepare for their departure on Saturday.

The Golden Knights are not done with their 4-way activities this week. They will transition to the airport in Raeford right around the corner, where Skydive Paraclete XP is hosting the Summer Classic 2025. The competition draw will be posted on Saturday morning, an hour before Round 1. Ten rounds are scheduled for the weekend. The NSL News transitioned to Skydive Paraclete XP on Friday and recorded different activities, the aftermath of a 104-way record of South American formation skydivers, mostly from Brazil, and preparations for indoor training of the XP Angels who will compete at the Summer Classic, as well.

The outdoor competition at Paraclete XP, two months after the Shamrock Showdown 2025, is especially meaningful for the two U.S. top contenders this year. Arizona Airspeed made the extra effort and committed to the trip to North Carolina, where they will meet their main opponent this year, the Golden Knights.

The two U.S. teams met each other directly for the first time with their complete current lineups at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2025 at the of February, and the U.S. Army team finished 13 points ahead of Airspeed (284 - 271).

Both teams followed up with their first outdoor competition at the Shamrock Showdown 2025, where the difference was down to three points (227 - 224). Now they both had the same two months to digest and evaluate the performances at Skydive DeLand, and the results will be shown this weekend. Golden Knights and Arizona Airspeed will meet again for another test at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 at Skydive Teuge, Netherlands, in September, before their most important showdown happens at the USPA Nationals in October. The Golden Knights will meet their military friends from Belgium in competition at the outdoor world cup, as well. The NSL News will be live at the competition site.
