Did You Know...

... that Chop Chop! cover the longest travel distance this time?

Whitefish at Skydive Voss in 2023
posted Jul 13th, 2025 - Australian 4-way teams have been some of the most reliable and consistent participants in horizontal formation skydiving world championships since 1985. In fact, the Australian FAI/ISC delegation missed only the two events that were hosted by Russia, in Menzelinsk 2010 and Tanay 2021,

4-way teams from Down Under usually travel to the outdoor world cups, as well. It was last time in Banja Luka 2013 when no Australian teams appeared on any of the four formation skydiving leaderboards. However, a complete Australian formation skydiving delegation was back a year later in Prostejov 2014, and Impulse were on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard a year later in Teuge, Netherlands. Rotor Out competed as Australia's 4-way Open Class national team at the world championships in Prostejov 2014, Skydive Chicago 2016 and a third time on home turf in 2018.

Kinetix used the outdoor world cups in Saarlouis 2017 and Eloy 2019 to collect international meet experiences at the year's major outdoor events. Kinetix also competed at the USPA Nationals 2019 at Paraclete XP before traveling to Arizona for the outdoor world cup. Ripper. with two former Rotor Out members, were back for Australia in 4-way Open when FAI/ISC events were scheduled again after the corona virus crisis, first in Eloy 2022.

Havoc at Skydive Crystal Coast in 2024
Whitefish became the next Australian 4-way Open Class team with the longest travel distance to an FAI/ISC event when they competed at the Outdoor World Cup in Voss 2023. The NSL News introduced Whitefish with NSL Live Talk on 25 August 2023.

Havoc then competed for Australia at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2024, and Australia's national team became a part of the NSL News update from Crystal Coast on 18 October 2024.

Former Whitefish member Alex Cattaneo had joined Havoc after competing with Chop Chop! at the national outdoor championship in March 2024 and attended his first world championship last year. Havoc won this year's national outdoor championship in April again and did not commit to the trip to Skydive Teuge in the Netherlands. Alex Cattaneo's former Whitefish team mate Karen Hardy/Fuller had taken the open Chop Chop! slot in April this year and is now in the Chop Chop! lineup who will compete for Australia at the outdoor world cup (Stacey Brosnan, Karen Hardy/Fuller, Andrew Barker, Yuri Melo, David Bakkers on camera).

NSL Live Talk with 4-way Open Class team Whitefish from Australia - Whitefish at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023
Chop Chop! lineup for Skydive Teuge
It's the third year for Chop Chop! who placed 3rd at their three national outdoor championships, the second year with the current lineup for the outdoor world cup at Skydive Teuge. Karen Hardy/Fuller will make her second trip to Europe after the previous outdoor world cup in Norway.

The Australian team will cover once again the longest travel distance to get to the Netherlands, even significantly longer than the teams of the Qatar delegation, who had competed in Norway, as well.

Whitefish team mates Karen Hardy/Fuller and Alex Cattaneo finished in 19th place of 24 teams in 4-way Open at Skydive Voss in 2023, with a 12.6 average. Chop Chop! have their first 12.0 average in the team records after this year's outdoor championship in April. They will probably have the Whitefish scoring numbers and a higher placement as a team target. The unofficial NSL Power Rankings expect a competition for the 15th place between five potential contenders, according to the available scoring data and team history.
