posted Aug 1st, 2025 - The Echochamber storyline is still not over after the previous updates last week, which were related to the status of the Swedish team as one of the top contenders for a medal position at the European championship part of the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025.

The updates reviewed the 3rd place of Echochamber at the FAI European Indoor Championship 2018 and the 6th place at the integrated European championship of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2022 in Charleroi, Belgium. The next European championship is an outdoor event and a part of the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025.

The last outdoor world cup in Eloy 2019 did not include a European championship, which was previously included at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2017 in Saarlouis, before it came back in Voss 2023. Echochamber did not attend the outdoor world cup in Norway and could not win a European medal, which Airbus took for Germany in 4-way Open. The Swedish national team in the same category made the long trip to China last year, where the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024 took place and included a new European championship leaderboard.

Echochamber (SE) - Papea (ES) at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Echochamber's event selection for 2024 turned out to be a copy of the successful 2018 season, where they won the European indoor bronze medals at the beginning of the year in Voss and followed up with the precious 5th place at the outdoor world championship in Australia. The 3rd place on the European leaderboard in China became the second FAI indoor medal for Echochamber, and the next 5th place at the outdoor world championship last year in North Carolina completed the copy of the most successful Echochamber year.

Echochamber have won the unofficial title of the world's strongest amateur team at outdoor world championships twice (2018 - 2024), and two sets of European FAI indoor bronze medals, the first one in Norway 2018, the second one in China 2024. Now they are ready to pursue their first FAI outdoor medal position, as the NSL News reported on July 24th.

The same update included the NSL Power Rankings which are showing Echochamber as the top contender for the 3rd place. However, it is a very strong group of European teams who have probably the same goal, including Spain's military Papea lineup who outscored Echochamber last year in China by three points, and by one point at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022. It seems like a very promising battle for the European bronze medals can once again be anticipated.
