posted Aug 9th, 2025 - Seven teams showed up at Skydive Elsinore for the first meet of the Southern California Skydiving League in 2025. SCSL Director Christy Frikken, 4-way Open Class silver medalist with SDC Rhythm XP at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2021, said that "SCSL Elsinore ended up being quite a blast!"

She did not compete with any of the teams, while Airspeed legend Dan Brodsky-Chenfield visited from Skydive Perris, as well. He guided Perris Stunt Team as the player-coach through the 5-round battle for the 1st place on the AAA Class leaderboard.

Dan BC's Perris Stunt Team ended up three points behind the AAA winner, and Perris 4ever finished one single point ahead of Perris Prism. Perris 4ever will next compete for the U.S. delegation at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 in Teuge, Netherlands, where they meet their 4-way Women opponent XP Angels from the U.S. east coast. Both U.S. teams have realistic chances to win FAI medals in 4-way Women behind the French Nephtys. It will be difficult to take the 2nd place from Norway's Thyra, while the 3rd place seems to be open for Dutch home team Funky Falcon, XP Angels or Perris 4ever.

Christy Frikken said that Perris 4ever used the remainder of the meet weekend "polishing up those caravan exits, which didn’t seem to be a challenge at all for them." Cessna Caravan will be the jump plane for the world cup competition at Skydive Teuge.

She added that Dan BC's Perris Stunt Team "proved to be great up and comers". The team plans to be back for the second SCSL meet on their home turf in Perris. G.R.A.M.P.S! went though a few name changes between "Ladies" and "Gramps" before ending up with an exclamation mark and fun credit by Christy Frikken on the AA leaderboard: "Their infectious smiles never faltered for the entire hot day."

G.R.A.M.P.S! could not keep up with AA scores of Balagan, who came back with three members of last year's lineup and impressed with a very consistent performance and scoring level. Christy Frikken was also impressed with Perris Prism's surprisingly high scores after intensive training. The scoring level was even high enough to put some pressure on Perris 4ever on the top of the AAA leaderboard. Last and not least, Elsinore 4mula 4fun with local load organizers were just as consistent on the AAA leaderboard as Balagan was in AA. They put the lineup together on a short notice and were still close to the other three AAA teams.
