Did You Know...

... that 23 U.S. teams were on the shared NSL 4-way leaderboards in September?

Not The Point: Christy West - Scott Latinis - Lucas King - Brant Davis - Brian Ball
posted Oct 10th, 2025 - The September leaderboard of the NSL 4-way Network has taken a different dimension, which reminds the observer on times when horizontal 4-way training and competition was the dominating event in skydiving. Events took place at four different locations, including the BENELUX Championship in Europe, where Belgian and Dutch teams competed for their national championship titles and also welcomed a few guest teams.

The September leaderboard now features 45 teams in the four NSL categories (AAA - AA - A - RRR) who applied the same competition draw at the four different locations. Texas Skydiving League director Scott Latinis added the scores of the annual Spaceland Dallas Super Cup to the same leaderboard, which is showing seven teams at this year's event.

Scott Latinis, who also competed himself with AAA Class team Not The Point, actually had eight teams ready for 4-way action at Spaceland Dallas. Spaceland Toxic were planning to use the last meet opportunity before the USPA Nationals to test their competition skills with this year's lineup, as well. However, Toxic had to withdraw when team member Amanda Lampton could not arrive at the competition site timely due to the cancellations of flights to the Dallas Ft. Worth airport. The other present Toxic members used their time to help the other participating teams with coaching and advice. Spaceland Toxic is one again considered a top contender for AA/Intermediate Class medals at the USPA Nationals 2025.

Spaceland Toxic without Amanda Lampton
Scott Latinis said that Spaceland Toxic had not received their TSL gold medals after winning the one-round TSL April meet at San Marcos, and he included the season opener in the award ceremony for the Spaceland Dallas Super Cup. Without Spaceland Toxic on the AA Class leaderboard, Spaceland Dallas Pajama Party walked away with the 1st place.

The NSL News mentioned on October 6th how Indoor Cloud League organizer Kyle Hermberg carefully prepares Pajama Party for the AA/Intermediate Class competition at the USPA Nationals. The same lineup have increased their meet average by one average point in the three attended meets this year, and they passed the 10-average benchmark in September. The Texas Skydiving League could have more than only one medal contender in Eloy.

Scott Latinis also had the background information for his own AAA Class team, Not The Point. All four team members have a USPA Advanced Class gold medal with different previous teams in their collections. The team name came up when nobody volunteered for the point slot, which then became part of a slot draw. Lucas King had the short straw and ended up in the pickup team's point position. A Class team Wingsloots consisted of four highly experienced wingsuiters who decided to join the 4-way belly event for a change. Scott Latinis said that "they enjoyed the meet, but were looking forward to getting back to wingsuiting".

Spaceland Dallas Pajama Party with coach Kyle Hermberg (left) and Dallas Super Cup
The NSL 4-way Network's October leaderboard becomes even more interesting by separating the U.S. teams from the combined leaderboard, including the European teams. The scores and positions provide a preview of what could be expected in three of the 4-way categories that will be applied at the USPA Nationals, AAA/Advanced, AA/Intermediate Class and A/Beginner Class.

A total of seven teams also competed in the RRR Class in October, two of them at the Spaceland Dallas Super Cup. However, the RRR category of the NSL 4-way Network is not a part of the USPA competition format, which has now been including the A Class as the Beginner Class since 2021. This year will feature record participation in this category, with 12 teams already registered for the event.

Eleven of the 23 teams on the NSL October leaderboard have signed up for the USPA Nationals, and especially the AA/Intermediate Class is once again promising a very exciting competition in Eloy later this month. The NSL leaderboards from Southern California, Texas and the Midwest generated the total of 23 U.S. teams in the three categories (AAA - AA - A). There is a very good chance that a few of them will be a part of the USPA award ceremony at the end of the 4-way competition on October 28th at Skydive Arizona.
