Did You Know...

... that the USPA Nationals feature re-matches of 2019 in 4-way Open?

Perris Fury with Christy Frikken (right) and Josh Hall (2nd from left)
posted Oct 14th, 2025 - SDC Rhetirement Rhedux and XP Angels, who are also coming back from last year's USPA Nationals, have their own stories, as well. The NSL News has covered the road of XP Angels from the USPA Nationals 2024 to the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025 comprehensively, and the road does not end there. The U.S. team in 4-way Women enjoyed the international meet atmosphere at Skydive Teuge in the Netherlands and have the outdoor world championship as the next goal.

Rhetirement Rhedux was a new team name on last year's USPA leaderboard, and the team members in 2024 have the international meet experiences in their archives. JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz were a part of the first NSL News update with the first power rankings for the USPA Nationals 2025, as they are founding members of SDC Rhythm XP. Christy Frikken stepped in for JaNette Lefkowitz when Rhythm had to replace the team's outside center at the FAI Tanay Mondial 2020 in August 2021.

Christy Frikken was in the Perris Fury lineup who denied SDC Rhythm XP a USPA medal position by one single point last time in Eloy 2011. Christy Frikken eventually joined SDC Rhythm XP in 2013 - 2015 and came back to replace JaNette Lefkowitz in 2020 and 2021.

USPA Advanced Class podium in 2019
There is more 4-way history behind the other four team names on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard, and some of it connects with the previous stories. The team names (Redline XP, Elsinore Elevate, Spaceland Lite, Inertia AZ) are not new on USPA and NSL leaderboards at all. The same four team names just did not appear last year, some of them not for a long time.

Elsinore Elevate competed last time at the USPA Nationals 2019, and the lineup included Josh Hall, Christy Frikken's original team mate with Perris Fury until the USPA Nationals 2010. Then he joined Arizona Airspeed to become a 4-way world champion in Dubai 2012. Keith Conner was Josh Hall's team mate with Elsinore Elevate in 2019 and 2020 before joining SDC Rhythm XP in 2022 - 2024. Zack Winoker was in the same Elevate lineup with Josh Hall and Keith Connor. Now he posted a new personal record average with RhEvolution XP at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025. The Elevate lineup for the USPA Nationals 2025 is not posted yet.

Elsinore Elevate, with 4-way world champion Josh Hall, battled with Redline XP, with 4-way and 8-way world champion Kirk Verner in the lineup, for the 4-way Advanced Class gold medals at the USPA Nationals 2019, and Kirk Verner's player-coached lineup (Louis French, James Hall, Matthew Hunt, Brian Festi on camera) won by seven points. Redline XP have not been back at USPA Nationals ever since and now signed up for this year’s 4-way Open Class competition.

Redline XP - Elsinore Elevate at the USPA Nationals 2019
Inertia AZ in 2025
Spaceland Lite competed at the same USPA Nationals where Redline XP and Elsinore Elevate battled for the 4-way Advanced Class gold medals. However, they posted their scores on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard. Katrina and Devon Shows, Christy West and Richard Rothery, with Cory Kossan on camera, had won Advanced Class gold medals at the USPA Nationals 2011. Spaceland Lite lineups have competed in 4-way Open ever since, Katrina Shows, Kim Hollander, Dave Grabowski and Andre Van Heerden in 2019.

Kim Hollander, Dave Grabowski and Andre Van Heerden had a reunion at the SkyVenture New Hampshire Tunnel Fest 2024, with Redline XP member Louis French in the open 4th slot. The Spaceland Lite lineup for the upcoming USPA Nationals is also unknown. Fact is that Redline XP, Elsinore Elevate and Spaceland XP are registered for this year's 4-way Open Class competition.

Even the team name Inertia AZ is not new and goes even much farther back in time. It was a team from Arizona, as well, who competed between 2000 and 2002, twice at USPA Nationals in 2000 and 2001. Michelle Karamon, Laura Galdamez, Craig Girard and Sean Moorhead bring the same team name back to 4-way life this month, this time on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard.
