posted Nov 11th, 2025 - The jockeying for medals and other positions on the leaderboards begins not just when a competition begins with Round 1. Teams and coaches keep their eyes on each other throughout the year, even when they attend different events. Direct and realistic comparison is only possible when they meet each other at the same place and at the same time. However, indirect comparison and interpretation of scores and sequences happen all the time and are a part of preparations for events.

At this point in time, outdoor competition takes the backseat, as the next major event is the indoor world cup at Weembi Lille in April 2026. A lot of attention switches from exits and sub-terminal maneuvers to scores on indoor leaderboards, at least in the western hemisphere.

In fact, the indoor season began already even before the USPA Nationals concluded the outdoor season in the United States. Finland's windtunnel in Helsinki hosted a small indoor meet for a few teams at the beginning of October, and 4-way teams from Brazil came together again in a flying chamber a few weeks later. Poland and Italy both offered their open indoor championships at the end of October. British and Danish 4-way teams crowned their new national indoor champions abroad, British 4-way teams at Weembi Lille in France, teams from Denmark in Sweden. The NSL News mentioned on November 7th how U.S. teams, including the new Tunnel Vision lineup, hurried from Arizona to Colorado to post their first indoor scores.

Flyspot in Poland and Aero Gravity in Italy hosted their open championships on the same October weekend, while using different competition draws for their respective ten rounds of indoor 4-way competition. Both countries have national indoor teams who play major roles at the major indoor events. Fly X Amnesya have represented Italy in the past, Skywalkers Most the Czech Republic.

Fly X Amnesya easily won the national indoor title in Italy, and Skywalkers Most had no serious competition as a guest team at the Flyspot Open. Both teams will most likely meet each other again at the indoor world cup in April next year. They had one direct encounter earlier this year when both competed at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025. It was the first time that they met.

Skywalkers Junior ran away from all other teams behind the medal positions at Paraclete XP and finished closer to bronze medalists NMP PCH HayaBusa than to the teams behind (290 - 261). However, Amnesya's first indoor meet average this year was slightly higher than the Skywalkers in Poland (27.2 - 27.0) at their first indoor competition and the beginning of the 4-way jockeying. The Czech team will be back in action on Wednesday and will try to get to the scoring level that they were at in April this year. They had also placed 6th at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025, while the NSL News has no records of outdoor competition in Italy this year.
