... that Weembi Slow Rollers won the British Open 4-way competition?

Weembi Slow Rollers at the British Indoor Open 2025
posted Nov 14th, 2025 - Neither the Norgies nor the team in 1st place of the British Indoor Nationals 2025 were actually the winners of the British indoor championship title, even though the lineup of the Weembi Slow Rollers included two British 4-way competitors, Mark Fletcher and Hari Ganapathy,

The British 2-way, who joined forces with Julien Degen and Roy Janssen, had to watch NFTO receiving the British 4-way AAA Class gold medals at Weembi Lille. NFTO had once again Pete Allum in their lineup, who had competed for the former 4-way Women team at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025, as well. NFTO with Pete Allum had finished in 5th place in 4-way Open at Paraclete XP in April.

The same NFTO lineup confirmed their British top position at the national indoor championship at Weembi Lille this month and will return to the same place as the British national 4-way indoor team for the indoor world cup in April 2026. Three more British 4-way Open Class teams will be eligible for the same event. Kairos, with NFTO member Vana Parker's son Tano Parker in the lineup, took the 2nd place on the British leaderboard, Mimic the 3rd place. Axis had taken one of the four British 4-way Open Class slots at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025, and they would again be eligible for the indoor world cup if no other higher placed British team signs up.

Weembi Slow Rollers - NFTO at the British Indoor Nationals 2025
Weembi High Rollers at the FAI Indoor Championship 2019
British 4-way competitors Mark Fletcher and Hari Ganapathy preferred taking the 1st place on the British Open 4-way leaderboard, with player-coaches Julien Degen from France and Roy Janssen from Belgium in their Weembi Slow Rollers lineup. They had placed 3rd at the British Indoor Nationals a year ago with Apex (Kate Lindsley, Chris Judd), behind NFTO and Chimera. They decided that the significantly higher performance level with Weembi Slow Rollers is worth leaving the British medal positions for other 4-way AAA Class teams.

They were leaning with their team name on the world-class lineup that Julien Degen and Roy Janssen had when they placed 2nd at the FAI Indoor World Championship 2019 with the Weembi High Rollers, who were trying to outscore the NMP PCH HayaBusa signature lineup (Andy Grauwels, David Grauwels, Jeroen Nollet, Dennis Praet) at Weembi Lille, with Christine Malnis and Sophia Pecout in the lineup.

Roy Janssen was a former HayaBusa world champion of 2014 and became eventually eligible to compete for France at the indoor world championship of 2019. The Weembi High Rollers finished with a 34.4 average at their last competition and still ended up seven points behind the Belgians. The Weembi Slow Rollers started the new team on their 27.2 average at Weembi Lille last week, which would have been enough to win the British indoor title, even though NFTO finished only ten points behind with their British lineup, including a 5-round highscore streak in the middle of the competition.
