Did You Know...

... that Karen Lewis is coming back on camera for Perris Fury?

No medals for Ex3mo
posted Sep 21st, 2009 - Monday morning brings a few corrections and updates of the scores and information that was posted over the weekend.

The scores and rankings of the Italian Nationals 2009 are all correct. However, two of the teams in medal positions were not eligible to win official Italian honors of the 2009 championships. Ex3mo, the team in 2nd place of the Open Class rankings, competed only as a guest team. The same counts for Sky Devils who placed 1st in Italy's A Class competition.

Sinapsi Real Lazio, Leo Felix and Vertigo the Zoo received the medals in the AAA/Open Class. Assouei, Gravita Zero and the Sinners won the medals in Italy's beginner class. Other guest teams at the Italian Nationals 2009 were Nineteen and Falcone in the AAA/Open Class and Pizzi's Boys in the A Class.

The scores of the last three rounds in Texas have been added to the leaderboard, and earlier rounds of the meet required a few corrections, as well.

Perris Fury had four video busts in Round 3, as the NSL News reported in the first update from Texas. However, Fury had completed 20 points in working time, and the official score was 16 points after the deductions.

Fury's video damage continued on the second meet day. The Perris team lost additional five points in the last three rounds. The total video damage was 18 points. One additional point deduction was due to an infringement.

The top contender for the USPA Nationals 2009 actually completed a total of 218 points in the nine rounds that were trackable on video. The total of 217 points after the deduction for the infringement stands for a 24.1 average. Round 1 would have probably added a score of well over 20 points to the total. After all, Perris Fury seems to be in good shape a few weeks before the national championships.

Fury did not bring a team videographer to the meet in Texas and was looking for local help. The substitute on camera had obviously problems to capture the whole Fury action, and the numerous video busts were the result of this situation.

Fury informed the NSL News that the team will not have this problem at the USPA Nationals. Fury videographer of 2005 and 2006, Karen Lewis, will come back and train and compete with her former team for the remainder of the 2009 season. Niklas Daniel was filming Perris Fury in 2007 and 2008 and then left the team. He is now in charge of the videos for Spaceland Blue.
