Did You Know...

... that the first round of NSL Talk features Spaceland Force XP?

Spaceland Force XP members waiting for good weather
posted Oct 10th, 2009 - The weather situation has not changed much at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships, which will begin with the first competition jumps on Monday morning.

The NSL News has not seen one jump plane in the air yet, even though the sun came out quite a few times in the afternoon. It was just not good enough to send the teams up in safe jumping conditions. There is one more day left for warm up jumps.

Arizona Airspeed and Perris Fury never made it to the dropzone today, while many teams were waiting for an opportunity.

Spaceland Force XP was on site and ready to make a few jumps. Gary Beyer's shoulder seems to be okay, as he mentioned in the interview with the NSL News.

Brian Johnson with Furies members
Yes, the first round of NSL TALK has already been uploaded and features the local top contender. The NSL-TV camera picked a spot that would show a lot of activities under normal circumstances, with the landing area and the swooping pond as the backdrop. The next videos will hopefully include a more lively landing area.

Thomas Hughes and Gary Beyer still have the same busy schedule, as both compete in 4-way and 8-way. Thomas Hughes is also coaching Spaceland Blue.

Force's alternate and Paraclete XP 8-way competitor Brian Johnson is in the same boat as he coaches SDC Furies XP. The NSL News discussed with them the situation when the weather would force the events to overlap.

Weather hold at Skydive Spaceland
Three foreign guest teams are on site. The NSL News mentioned Voluntas from Denmark already earlier. There is also the Australian 4-way team Black registered for the competition, and the Russian team Gradient Alpha/Crystal just arrived at the end of the day.

There are a few interesting pickup lineups that have been formed for the championships, and the NSL News will provide more details tomorrow.

The weather forecast is even worse for tomorrow, and there might be plenty of time to catch up with interesting stories and many more details. This is the end of the day in Texas, and the coverage will resume tomorrow morning.
