The story mentioned at the end that there was still an open question, as Denmarks national 4-way team Voluntas did not attend the competition in the Czech Republic and was planning to compete at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships.
The Voluntas results at the USPA Nationals 2009 and the other Scandinavian scores at the World Cup 2009 do not really allow an accurate comparison, as the competition draws were different. It still appears as if the team from Denmark may eventually turn out to be the strongest Scandinavian team of the 2009 season.
Nexus from Norway and Evolution from Sweden were too far behind the Pro Team in Prostejov and not close enough to Voluntas' meet averages at the bigger events to be in the unofficial competition for the Scandinavian top spot this year. It seems to be contended only between the Pro Team and Voluntas.
Voluntas posted the higher meet averages at the national championships and at the USPA Nationals. However, the meet average of all four Voluntas outdoor meets this year (15.9) is almost identical with the Pro Team's (15.8) after all three 2009 meets.
The Pro Team clearly won the direct competition (19.5 - 18.8) after ten rounds in the wind tunnel. It is still questionable though how much the indoor competition can be taken into consideration, as other indoor results at the same event show. Sweden's national team Evolution outscored all other Scandinavian teams at the World Challenge 2009, disregarding Arcteryx with French former 4-way world champion Julien Losantos.
The Pro Team won the only direct competition and was very consistent all year long. Or should Evolution's Scandinavian victory at the World Challenge 2009 even count higher, as it was the only direct competition between all four nations (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden) this year?
The NSL News will leave the decision up to the audience...
