It turned out that the Scandinavian 4-way fans and others in the audience were not done when the first results were posted. The NSL News re-visited the same poll results later and discovered that they had changed.
In fact, the results had changed significantly in the meantime. Finland's Pro Team is now quite far ahead of Voluntas, and all four teams collected votes, including Norway's two team options, either the national team Nexus or the player coach team Frost, who had no votes in the beginning.
The NSL News reported already earlier that neither Nexus nor Frost will continue next year, as two members of each team were selected for the new Norwegian national 4-way team. This story was posted on 20 October 2009.
Sweden's national team Evolution is in the same situation, just for different reasons, as coach Joey Jones reported from Europe. Evolution will not continue in 2010. Two of the team members are now looking for a new lineup.
On the other hand, there is a new Swedish lineup for IPC's female 4-way category that has made plans for the 2010 season. The NSL News will follow up soon with more information that Joey Jones recently provided.
Both teams have had a commitment until the World Meet 2010 in Russia as the main goal and will continue with the Scandinavian race next year. The new Norwegian team, with Marianne Nordlund, Yngve Haugom, Kjetil Nordin and Tore Granmo in the lineup, will join very soon. They have actually a commitment until 2012 and don't have to hurry next year.
It will be interesting to see whether and how quickly Norway will be able to catch up with Denmark and Finland. Voluntas and the Pro Team have a head start of more than a year, and they will continue with great efforts. The Scandinavian race continues...
