Did You Know...

... that Airspeed offers free coaching on two weekends this year?

Arizona Airspeed prepare for a jump
posted Dec 7th, 2009 - The 2010 season begins with "work" for Arizona Airspeed's 4-way world champions. Airspeed will compete at the Valentines Meet in February, of course, then travel to Florida for the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2010 and complete the spring action once again with the World Challenge 2010.

However, Eliana Rodriguez, Craig Girard, Andy Delk and Mark Kirkby will first run a coaching camp on the team's home turf at Skydive Arizona in January. Airspeed informed the NSL News that the team has actually scheduled two camps with free Airspeed coaching for the 2010 season.

The first camp takes place on the January 24/24 weekend, the second one is scheduled for July 3-4. Craig Girard said that all interested 4-way and 8-way teams are invited to attend the camps.

Debriefing in the team room
The Airspeed members have obviously good advice in both events, as they are the reigning 4-way world champions and also won the 8-way gold medals at the 2009 USPA National Skydiving Championships. They will provide the ground coaching for the teams that will visit Skydive Arizona on these two weekends.

Both camps begin at 8:00 am on Saturday morning and last as long as a normal training for the teams. The participating teams just have to cover their own expenses for the actual training jumps. The Airspeed members will provide their usual coaching services for free.

Those Airspeed coaching services will include advice and coaching on all block techniques and the execution of the whole dive pool. The Airspeed members will also provide information and coaching as of team dynamics, training and debriefing methods, communication.

The Airspeed members will also offer any additional information that the visiting teams might be interested in.

Craig Girard said that there is a reason why the Airspeed lineups have been so successful in the past:

"Airspeed is the best in the world because of how we train. During these camps you can learn from us for free how we do it!"

Interested teams can contact Skydive Arizona by e-mail or call (520-466-3753) to make reservations.
