The story on 12 November 2009 followed up on the same topic and confirmed Rhythm's efforts to fill the open slot. Additional information of the plans for the near future showed that the Midwest team from Skydive Chicago is planning to make it to the top level of 4-way competition.
Then it was time to commit a new Rhythm Tail, and the three returning members (JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz, Rob Radez) scheduled a tryout weekend after selecting three candidates: Thiago Muradas, Nick Grillet and Samer Haija.
The tryout project of the new 4-way shooting star in the USA offers a new and different storyline for the NSL News. The coverage will include videos of the team flying with the candidates, and the first live interview during the first meeting of all Rhythm members and candidates has already been uploaded.
Rob Radez, JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz have already discussed the plans with each candidate extensively by phone and e-mail. Now they will discuss the plans for the 2010 season and the following years face to face and then fly together for 30 minutes in turns. Plan is to select the team's new tail on Saturday and then start with the training soon.
Kirk Verner has been coaching and supervising SDC Rhythm XP in 2008 and 2009. He is at the tryout site and will assist the team with his advice and experiences. Arizona Airspeed has held many tryouts over the years to find new team members.
Samer Haija had his interview first, Nick Grillet will be second, Thiago Muradas finishes up. After a short break, the flying sessions will begin.
Rob Radez, JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz have a different competition draw for each candidate. The NSL News will follow the action and capture enough footage of the flying sessions for the audience.
