Did You Know...

... that Nick Grillet has completed his session?

posted Dec 11th, 2009 - Nick Grillet is done, too. He is actually the top contender at the moment, as the first results of the tryout poll indicate. He is the only learned and trained Tail of the three candidates and has a 2-year experience in the slot.

Thiago Muradas was the Center Outside for Sebastian Tempest this year. Samer Haija was the Point for Arizona/Spaceland Directe. Thiago Muradas used the first two flying sessions carefully to learn more about the slot and how the SDC Rhythm XP 3-way is flying with each candidate.

SDC Rhythm XP lineup with Nick Grillet
The Rhythm lineup with Nick Grillet took turns with two young freeflyers who caught the NSL News attention. The NSL News asked Kirk Verner who they are.

It turned out that they were the new generation of tunnel flyers, Kirk Verner's and Tim d'Annunzio's sons.

Kirk Verner explained to the NSL News that they train for the World Challenge 2010. He said that they had already planned to travel to Bedford this year and eventually could not make it. The plans for the 2010 trip have already been finalized.

Observer Thiago Muradas
The Rhythm session with Nick Grillet had more observers. The Embry Riddle team was done for today, and they hung around to watch the Rhythm flying session. They are learning the A Class dive pool, which is identical with the one at the Collegiates.

The last session with Thiago Muradas is scheduled for 8:30 pm.

It will conclude a very long training day for team members, tryout candidates and the coach. The NSL News will upload the last video of the final flying session later.

The results of the tryout will hopefully follow soon.
