Did You Know...

... that four AA Class teams competed in Colorado last weekend?

Colorado Skydiving League AA Class team Air Force Prodigy
posted Jul 13th, 2005 - Colorado Skydiving League Director Brian Vande Krol provided scores and the meet story of last weekend's competition, while the NSL News was on the return trip from Russia.

Four teams! We had four teams at the Colorado Skydiving League AA Class meet! All four teams got six rounds done, and a good time was had by all. Mile Hi provided us with a Skydive Arizona Otter, Tessie did a terrific job manifesting, and Suzie, the pilot from Skydive Arizona gave us great spots all day long.

Chickspike, the newest addition to the CSL meets, drew upon the experience of long time 4-way competitors Ellen Monsees and Courtney Frasch to give the Air Force teams some competion.

Meanwhile, G-Gap replaced one team member, changed their team name to “Talented Confusion”, and once again gave me the privilege of jumping with them as one of their team members was absent, on a top secret spy mission in the Ukraine, or something equally important.

Air Force LOC continues to impress, as they came up just shy of a 10-point average. In fact, if not for two points in busts in round four, the Air Force team would have had the 10-average.

Chickspike, with no training jumps together, turned in an impressive 8.7 average, beating Airforce Prodigy by five points.

Talented Confusion had one of their best meets yet, not by virtue of their score, but they achieved the “feel” they sought, that of being calm and together.

It’s great progress for the Colorado Skydiving League, with more teams and higher scores. Courtney Frasch challenges any other civilians to compete with and against Chickspike in the upper eschelons of Colorado 4-way at the next meet on August 21. Any takers?

Rumor has it that Caged Animals will be moving up to the A Class at the meet on August 20. And don’t forget the Scrambles on August 20. Fun for everyone in the Colorado Skies!

Brian Vande Krol, CaSL Director
