Did You Know...

... that the World Challenge 2010 list of teams is growing quickly?

Moving up into the A Class: Gr4vity
posted Jan 1st, 2010 - It did not take very long after Bodyflight Bedford's official announcement of the World Challenge 2010 that the registration process began with full strength. The NSL News already posted the first two previews on 1 December 2009 and on 20 December 2009, which did not relate to the registered teams by then.

The list of teams is already so colorful at this point in time that it is worthwhile taking a closer look at it. The first teams have already signed up for the new A Class competition, which will be added for the first time in 2010. As expected, one of last year's British Rookie Class teams, Gr4vity, is using the first opportunity of the new season to test the A Class waters. Other Rookie Class team will probably follow soon.

Teams have also already registered for the AA Class competition, including Slot Machine, one of the best British A Class teams in 2009. Gr4vity and Slot Machine both competed for the UK delegation at the ESL Championship 2009. The already registered AA Class teams also include The Usual Suspects, the first team from Germany at a World Challenge.

World class addition: Dynamic Fource
Several repeat offenders of the past years made sure that they have their slots reserved in time (AlpenGlow, Altius, Area 51, Hayabusa Defence, Kaktus Hunter, Magic 4, Perris Fury, Pro Team, Sequence, Voluntas). This field reaches obviously all the way up to the best 4-way teams in the world.

Then there are new teams that have not competed at the World Challenge yet, including Dynamic Fource, the Dutch national 4-way team that missed the unofficial title of the "amateur world champion" by two points at the World Meet in 2008.

Italy's Spin Team won this honor. Dynamic Fource hibernated in 2009 with a slow schedule and now picks up the pace again for the World Meet 2010 season.

Busy World Challenge 2009
A new Italian team will compete at the World Challenge 2010 for the first time. Evolution placed 7th at the national championships this year with a 15.0 average.

Parabola from Switzerland is also a new guest at Bodyflight Bedford's biggest indoor competition. The team from Triengen competed at Germany's Nuggets Cup in July 2009 as a guest team. The British AAA Class team Vision is a new indoor competitor at the World Challenge 2009, as well.

Then there will be new teams that have not appeared on any NSL leaderboards yet. A new name in the AAA Class is Polaris. The NSL News will follow up with more details of the lineups with regular updates. Registration is already busier than ever before, it might be a smart move to sign up as early as possible...
