Did You Know...

... that Becca talked about her belly flying motivation?

Debriefing with Thomas Hughes
posted Jan 28th, 2010 - The NSL News goes once again back to Becca's Bootie Boogie. There is still video footage that needs to be looked at. The clip in this story includes videos of several jumps on the belly flying weekend at Skydive Sebastian. The previous stories of the same event included videos of live NSL Talk with Thomas Hughes and new 4-way team DeLand Dunamis.

Thomas Hughes was load organizing at Becca's Bootie Boogie. This video includes two jumps with him on Saturday, first a sunset 8-way and then a 12-way.

The 8-way lineup for this jump included Kris Peterson and her complete new 4-way team. Event organizer Rebecca Minkin was also jumping with Thomas Hughes, together with NSL News reporter Kurt Gaebel.

The bootie jumps had no set format. The load organizers included everybody in the groups who was ready to make a jump, and they provided as much information as the group and the individuals wanted to absorb. The videos in this clip show groups that ranged between 4-way and 12-way.

Most participants still wanted and jumped in smaller groups, as it was an opportunity to learn a lot from the world class coaches. The last two videos of this clip show the same 4-way group and the progress. Former Sebastian Tempest member Chris Ash was filming those jumps. He also helped as the coach for the group.

A new live NSL Talk with Becca follows the 12-way video. It was a lively situation, as the boogie activities were going on at the same time, and a few observers of the NSL Talk provided an interesting backdrop - on the opposite side of the camera.

There was a good reason why the observers kept away from the visible area of the NSL News camera...

Becca explained what motivated her to launch her Bootie Boogie in 2009 and why she plans to keep it going. She loves 4-way jumping and wants to offer beginners in the sport a belly flying arena before they decide to become freeflyers or belly flyers and competitors or recreational skydivers. She is currently in the process of putting her own 4-way lineup together.

The 4-way jumps at the end of the video feature once again the scenic view of the Atlantic Ocean. The NSL News will visit Skydive Sebastian at least two more times this year when the DZ will host its meets of the Florida Skydiving League 2010 season.
