Did You Know...

... that 4XTT comes back with the same Belgian/Dutch lineup as in 2009?

1st team: Dynamic Fource
posted Feb 4th, 2010 - The NSL News story on 29 January 2010 introduced Dynamic Fource member Paul Hofstee's second team project this year, player coach team Skytrax. The same story mentioned that this was still not all for the passionate Dutch 4-way fan. He would have another team for the 2010 season.

Dynamic Fource surely has Paul Hofstee's top priority, as the Dutch national 4-way team prepares for the unofficial world amateur title race at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010. However, his third team will probably compete on a similar performance and scoring level as Dynamic Fource.

Paul Hofstee launched the 4XTT team project, together with another Dutch and two Belgian competitors, already last year. Former Hayabusa member Sven Ibens, who is also an IPC Delegate for Belgium and an IPC Advisor for IPC's Formation Skydiving Committee, is the other most experienced 4-way competitor of the international lineup.

2nd team: Skytrax
Former Pulse member Jacco van Eerden and Wesley Claessens, a member of the Belgian 8-way lineup that competed at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2008 in France, completed the lineup.

David Grauwels, current Hayabusa Defence member and Sven Ibens' team mate until 2006, predicted early in 2009 that this lineup would have the potential to get to the 20-point average level.

The Dutch/Belgian 4XTT combination was not very far away from this benchmark when the team posted a 19.4 average at the ESL Championship 2009. 4XTT competed officially for Belgium, managed to tie Satori's 19-pointer in Round 7 and even won Round 9 with a sole 23-pointer highscore at the competition in the United Kingdom.

3rd team: 4XTT
It was the only meet that the 4XTT attended in 2009, as it was planned to be mainly a fun project. However, it was enough fun, and the scores were convincing enough for the team members to plan a comeback in 2010.

4XTT plans to complete ten hours of wind tunnel training and add 250 outdoor jumps to the team schedule of 2010. The complete training agenda will be supervised by Thomas Hughes. Paul Hofstee told the NSL News during his visit with Dynamic Fource what 4XTT had planned for the 2010 season.

The training begins next week with a camp in Eloy. This camp includes the competition at the Valentine's Meet 2010. This means that the first 4XTT scores will be posted much earlier this year. Once again, the goal is obviously to break the 20-average benchmark.

Sven Ibens with Hayabusa and the Fun Flag in 2006
Sven Ibens has already completed this mission in a 10-round meet. Hayabusa posted a 20.4 average at the World Meet 2006 in Germany and followed up with a 20.5 average after ten rounds at the ESL Championship 2006. Paul Hofstee came to an 18.8 average with his Dynamic Fource at the Dutch Nationals 2009. 4XTT's 19.4 average at the ESL Championship 2009 is still the highest result for the other three members.

An interesting aspect of 4XTTs early start this year is the fact that the Belgian/Dutch combination will set the pace for the indirect competition with Dynamic Fource. The Dutch national team will surely try to beat the 4XTT scores this year. The NSL News will follow up soon with the scores from Arizona.
