Did You Know...

... that Airspeed will eat the sequence of Round 10 for breakfast?

posted Feb 12th, 2010 - The competition draw has been handed out at the Valentine's Meet 2010 in Eloy, and it has now also popped up on the NSL front page.

It is on the faster side, as two of the slower moves, Block 12 (Bundy - Bundy) and Block 14 (Bipole - Bipole), would only come in Round 11. The Valentine's Meet is scheduled for ten rounds in the AAA/Open Class competition.

Dutch/Belgian 4XTT lineup
The Dutch/Belgian 4XTT lineup will be glad to have the opportunity of breaking the 20-average benchmark.

The NSL News provided some team information with the story on 4 February 2010.

Arizona Airspeed seems to have a different opportunity: to score 20 and higher each round for the first time on home turf. The NSL News and Robert Chromy will have their eyes especially on rounds six and ten.

Airspeed: having Round 10 for breakfast?
The sequences of rounds six and ten will be the toughest test for the 4-way world champions. Round 6 (16-11-3) will be the warmup round for the more challenging sequence of Round 10 (4-21-20). However, Robert Chromy still thinks that even Round 10 will be no problem: "They will eat this for breakfast..."

Blocks 3 (Side Flake Opal - Turf) and 16 (Compressed Accordion - Box) are some of the faster ones in the AAA Class dive pool. Both of them in the same sequence also eliminate the memory and slot switching situation that each of these two blocks usually cause. Airspeed surely has already scored higher in more difficult sequences.

The sequence of Round 10 has three blocks with 360-turns for the pieces in each of them. Blocks 4 and 21 are two of the most popular and well known techniques. However, Block 20 is more challenging and considered one of the slower blocks in the dive pool. It will surely be an interesting finale of Airspeed's performance this weekend - whether they will have Round 10 for breakfast or not...
