The 8-way teams completed five rounds in the morning, as it was planned. The opening ceremony with the draw for the 4-way competition followed around noon, and the 4-way teams were in the air at 2:30 pm.
The POPS did their big-ways in the meantime all day long.
Two rounds of 4-way were planned for Friday afternoon. However, it turned out that the lift capacity in combination with perfect weather allowed the teams to complete three rounds. There is a very good chance now that the 4-way competition will already be completed tomorrow.
The 8-way competition offered ups and downs for all teams in the first half of the meet. Dallas Rogue was not expected to keep up with the top lineups of the Golden Knights and Paraclete 8. However, Rogue even outscored Paraclete 8 once in Round 3, right after the team's worst jump in Round 2.
Paraclete 8 on the other hand offered the Golden Knights the competition that the US Army team had hoped for. Both teams have won two rounds each and tied the scores in the meet opener Round 1. The Golden Knights are only two points ahead at the moment.
Shannon Pilcher made the three 4-way rounds with Genesis. Pete Allum competed with Thomas Hughes for the Sky Ninjas in the AA Class. Only Todd Hawkins had to watch the 4-way action from the ground.
Ben Liston, Jim Rees and Brian Stephens had their own Mass Defiance reunion with John Silva and Steve "Scuba" Feldman on camera. Ari Perelman and Rodney Cruce have a new DeLand Shmeland XP lineup with Jim "Bu" Klinge and Michael Biederman. Scott Latinis jumps with the Speedy Kids. Dave Burton and Ron Hill share a slot for Teiwaz. Dave Burton was the Point for the first three rounds. More 4-way information and videos will follow later.
