Arizona Airspeed was training yesterday and in the middle of the debriefing of a training session. XL was doing exactly the same, just a few steps away around the corner.
It has always been one of the very convenient factors at the World Challenge that so many teams are so close to each other for the time of the event. This is a real up close and personal situation.
The same counts for the actual flying. It is always amazing and a unique experience to watch the flyers right in front of your eyes.
You can read the body language, the faces, the eyes. It is a completely different viewing angle compared to the judging perspective. The NSL News will continue to provide as much footage of that angle as possible.
Then the first action videos of Arizona Airspeed follow. The defending champions continued with their tunnel training after the debriefing session that was captured first.
Nothing looks differently, Airspeed seems to be well prepared for the toughest challenge beginning tomorrow morning.
The day ended for the NSL News with a surprise meeting in the local hotel. Three of the original DeLand Norgies, Lise Nansen, Torstein Valen and Pal Kolbenstvedt, tested food and local beer in the bar restaurant at closing time.
They will compete together with Lise Nansen's husband Nikolai under Norgies 40. The World Challenge 2010 is a birthday gift for Nikolai's 40th birthday in January this year. Sounds like a fun birthday party with the Norgies.
