Did You Know...

... that Craig Girard, Roy Janssen and Pete Allum provided a preview of the competition?

Flow House action on Friday
posted Apr 2nd, 2010 - The Friday went by very quickly at the World Challenge 2010. The pace picked up as soon as the official training session began. Each team had two flying sessions to determine the final team specific airspeed in the flying chamber. The NSL News used the opportunity to film as many of the teams as possible, and there is plenty of footage ready to be processed and uploaded.

However, let's proceed in the proper order of events since the first Friday video was posted today. Bodyflight Bedford's owner Paul Mayer did not only turn on the water of the Flow House today. He also invited surfers to test the fast flowing waters on the ground floor. The NSL News captured the action, and it looked like fun.

Satori member Katie Woods was watching the surfers, as well, but she did not want to go ahead and try it herself. Eventually, the NSL News camera moved on to new projects, more related to the upcoming 4-way competition.

No surfing for Katie Woods
It was a nice coincidence that three members of different top teams happened to be in the reach of the NSL News at the same time and had a few minutes to provide a short preview of the upcoming competition action.

Airspeed Arizona's Craig Girard explained how his team spent the days leading toward the competition. Hayabusa NMP-PCH member Roy Janssen said that his team was trying to apply a few things that they learned from the French team at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2010. XL member Pete Allum was able to tell the NSL News why no Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge member was available at the time of the NSL Talk.

Last not least, former DeLand Majik world champion and coach Gary Smith joined the conversation. He had just arrived with his German team ISB Air. Unfortunately, he brought bad news from Germany. Center Inside Pia Weingart injured herself in a skiing accident last weekend and cannot compete in Bedford. Gary Smith will fill the slot, and ISB Air had a few practice sessions today with him.

The official practice session for the AAA Class teams has been completed, and the first videos will be posted soon. Stay tuned.
