Polaris made the trip to Bedford and finished with a 19.5 average after eight rounds. The first Polaris story also mentioned that Polaris Tail Sissel Maria Finnseth has a special relationship with DeLand Norgies member Torstein Valen and that she has received the best coaching and advice ever since she finished her AFF jumps.
Torstein Valen made the trip to Bedford, as well, and he had his own team project. The Norgies had another reunion at the World Challenge 2010, this time with Lise Nansen's husband Nikolai. The Norgies celebrated his 40th birthday in January with the tunnel competition.
Polaris has already resumed training after leaving the Bodyflight Bedford windtunnel. The Norwegian national team in the female category made the first outdoor jumps with this lineup today at Skydive DeLand. Coach Steve Hamilton, member of the XL lineup at the World Challenge 2010, is also in DeLand and works with Polaris.
He was the first Sinapsi member arriving in DeLand. The Italian national 4-way team has scheduled a 10-day training camp beginning next week. The NSL News will follow up with Sinapsi information as soon as the team is complete.
The first windtunnel competition of the new Polaris lineup and the first outdoor training jumps in DeLand will be followed by the first outdoor competition this weekend. Skydive Sebastian hosts the April meet of the Florida Skydiving League, and Polaris will make the 2-hour trip south for additional competition experience.
Polaris will meet another team in Sebastian that competed at the World Challenge 2010. SDC Rhythm XP spends the winter in Sebastian and welcomes the visiting teams on their new home turf. The meet is scheduled for Saturday, and the NSL News will be live on site.
