The Carolina Skydiving League held its first meet of the 2010 season at Triangle Skydiving Center on May 22 and May 23. We had six teams in three divisions (AAA, AA and Rookie).

Saturday we got one load off the ground before bad weather moved in. Since the first load only got to about 9000 ft, this round was judged to 30 seconds working time (instead of the normal 35 seconds).

Between weather and aircraft problems the teams were grounded for the next eight hours. Team TSC Motion choose to stick around and finish as many jumps as possible on Saturday, the remaining teams decided to start fresh on Sunday.

Team Majoroni and Cheese won the league championship with an average of 8.8 over four rounds.

As an interesting note, Team Sky Pollution was a pickup team of novice jumpers. One of the team members, Janie Tart, had just completed her A-license on Friday prior to the start of competition. Not bad, doing competitive 4-way with a total of 26 jumps...

The next meet for the Carolina Skydiving League will be at Skydive Carolina in Chester SC on June 19 and 20.
