Did You Know...

... that the Dallas Super Cup has a comeback this year?

Four Dallas Rogue members at the Super Cup 2010
posted Jun 24th, 2010 - The Dallas Super Cup 2010 has been scheduled on the NSL Calendar of Events for quite a while. Dallas Rogue members and the Skydive Dallas management have taken on the project to bring back a 4-way competition that was quite popular years ago.

The 4-way competition is scheduled for the August 7 weekend, and the participating teams have the opportunity to win some cash prizes. A total of $1,800 will be shared between the winning teams in the three competition classes: AAA Class $1,000 - AA Class $500 - A Class $300.

The Rookie Class will be applied at the Dallas Super Cup 2010, as well, and the placing teams will receive awards and prizes. There will be also be medals for all teams in the gold, silver and bronze positions in all categories.

Dallas Rogue member Scott Latinis said that at least four Rogue members will be on site to provide coaching. They will also be ready to take player coach positions and guide new lineups through the competition. Ron Hill is the contact person and can be reached by e-mail.

The comeback of the Dallas Super Cup is an effort to fill the gap for 4-way competitors after the Texas Skydiving League disconnected from the NSL Network. Teams and competitors from Texas will now have a new opportunity to collect competition practice and experience. However, teams from any other parts of the country are welcome to join.

Skydive Dallas plans to bring back the event every year from here on. Goal is also to stay connected with the NSL Network.

The Dallas Super Cup 2010 will be launched as a 6-round competition. All rounds are planned to be completed on one day, Sunday is the weather day. The meet briefing is scheduled for 8:00 am on Saturday. Exit altitude for the 4-way competition is 12,500 feet.

The event will serve as a qualification opportunity for teams that plan to win medals at the NSL Championship 2010 in November. There are a few teams in Texas that have been asking for an event that would allow them to qualify for medals and trophies at the NSL Championship without leaving Texas.

The application of all four competition classes at the Dallas Super Cup synchronizes rules and format completely with the NSL rules and may bring back teams from Texas to the NSL Championship at SkyQuest 2010.

Additional information and communication tools are available at the event's Facebook pages.
