Did You Know...

... that the 2-point difference turned into 7 points in Round 5?

Redemption in Round 5: Italy's team Sinapsi
posted Aug 2nd, 2010 - Round 5 was not a happy round for several teams in the 4-way Open Class at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010.

Only a few teams got through the sequence without trouble and/or penalties. Aerokart Cypres Maubeuge was one of those, and the French team created a new 2-point lead over Arizona Airspeed. Italy's team Sinapsi was the other one with a 20-pointer that put the standings back in order as of Germany as a challenger and redeemed for the previous round.

No other jumps of the top teams seemed to go very smoothly, and addional penalties added to the damage. Hayabusa (-2), Airspeed (-1), Sky Panthers (-1) and Canada (-1) lost points on the top part of the leaderboard. Satori (-2), Paratec-Saar (-2), Dynamic Fource (-1), Bodyflight Voluntas (-1) were in the same boat. China lost two points, as well.

The leaderboard is now broken up again. The 2-point difference between the Top 4 teams after Round 5 has all of a sudden turned into a 7-point difference. NMP-PCH Hayabusa has fallen out of a medal position for the first time in this competition. Things seem to change quickly and promise more exciting competition.
