Did You Know...

... that Sweden plans to come back with lineups for the female category?

NSL Talk with the Swedish female lineup
posted Aug 6th, 2010 - The dropzone in Menzelinsk feels like an empty place now. The night after yesterday's award ceremony was still a very lively one since all teams and competitors came back after the closing festivities downtown.

The Marceillaise was the most heard national anthem during the award ceremony. The NSL News will upload a video clip and provide more details of this final part of the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 soon.

The NSL News was interested in getting feedback from some competitors who attended a World Championship of Formation Skydiving for the first time and invited the Swedish national team in the female category for a new NSL Talk session.

Jump preparations with coach Joey Jones
The NSL News had reported earlier that Sweden was a part of the female event for years after the introduction of the new category. Sweden's participation was over after the World Cup in 2002. It took eight years until the Scandinavian country now produced a new team for this event.

The team members weren't all new world meet competitors, as Asan Helenius attended in Style and Accuracy before she took on Formation Skydiving competition. However, they all were rookies at a 4-way world meet.

The Swedish team how hopes that the attendance in Menzelinsk will spark more interest and encourage other Swedish skydivers to become involved. They said that there will most likely be a team from Sweden at the next international meets in the coming years.

Scenes from the award ceremony and a visit of French 4-way and 8-way world champions for a new NSL Talk will be next.
