Did You Know...

... that Perris Fury approaches the USPA Nationals with new group dynamics?

4-way Open Class medalists at the USPA Nationals 2009
posted Aug 28th, 2010 - Another national championship event is coming closer, the USPA Nationals 2010. The event pages for the NSL News coverage have been set, and a link on the top of the front page leads straight to the 4-way Open Class page.

The event pages offer a review of last year's USPA Nationals, as copies of the respective leaderboards bring back team names, scores and memories of the exciting competition, which included a new world record in Round 6.

Spaceland Force's 45-pointer is history by now after eight teams scored higher at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010. Sky Panthers and Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge now own the new 56-pointer world record for a single round.

Arizona Airspeed won last year and qualified as the national 4-way team for this year's World Meet in Menzelinsk, Russia. Airspeed will be back this year and try to defend the title. However, it will be the last competition for this lineup since Eliana Rodriguez and Craig Girard will move to Dubai. The NSL News will follow up with more information later.

Spaceland Force won the silver medals last year, one single point ahead of Perris Fury. There is a questionmark behind the Force's attendance at this year's national championships, and the days leading into the competition will really show whether the team will be there or not.

It is a fact that Perris Fury will make the next attempt to win the top spot in the USA. It will still be difficult to beat Airspeed, as the defending champions peak performed in Menzelinsk. However, Fury's chances to take the top position will surely grow significantly when the Airspeed lineup changes next year. The USPA Nationals 2011 will be the qualifyer for the World Meet 2012.

Chris Farina marries Michelle and Josh Hall
Perris Fury goes into the USPA Nationals 2010 with new group dynamics, literally. The Fury members were in Hilo on Hawaii at the beginning of August. Occasion was Josh Hall's wedding. Fury's Center Inside Chris Farina married Michelle and Josh Hall and did the whole ceremony for them on Hawaii, while Center Outside Christy Frikken and Tail Uli Steuwe helped with the celebration.

Chris Farina said that he is a non-denominational ordained reverened and married them on a lava rock cliff with waves crashing in the background: "It was a very pretty ceremony."

He said that Fury would be back in training for two days after coming back from Hawaii and that his team would probably jump the World Meet draw: "We want to get an idea of where we stand at this point about a month before Nationals."
