The NSL News has now uploaded the next NSL Reality TV clip. All footage was captured live on Friday. This clip begins when the judges had their briefing in Skydive Chicago's auditorium in the afternoon. Canadian Chief Judge of the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 in Menzelinsk, Rina Gallo, is also present in Ottawa, while Judy Celaya has the final responsibility this time.
Andrew Mansford was making the final adjustments for CamScore at the dubbing stations. There are TVs and screens and computers everywhere, and it will be impossible to miss any of the action. Skydive Chicago has recently equipped the whole DZ with CamScore for daily operation, and the DZ-TV coverage on competition site is more than promising.
Next step was the opening ceremony at 8 pm in the auditorium. The competition draw was done earlier and handed out to the teams as usual. However, Judy Celaya announced that the draw was done manually this time. There was a lot of discussion of the procedures for the draw recently. The manual draw seems to follow the main conclusions in the international 4-way community.
Judy Celaya introduced her judging panels and then CamScore's Jo Bell who also provided additional information of the latest CamScore features for the teams and competitors. Then it was time to hand out the draw and determine the jump order. The teams drew their own team numbers, and Arizona Airspeed is the last team to jump in the Open Class competition.
The teams went straight to the hangar for engineering work and creeping as soon as the ceremony was over, and the NSL-TV camera captured the busy time late in the evening.
