... that a German umbrella keeps the rain away at SkyQuest 2010?

SkyQuest 2010 fun under FSC Remscheid umbrella
posted Nov 19th, 2010 - The second day of SkyQuest 2010 brought for the Kaleidoscope Divers what the jumps on the first day had promised. The quality of the jumps at this year's event is probably better than ever before, and manager BJ Worth was all smiles at the end of the day.

The big-way lovers completed five jumps on Friday and enjoyed celebrating the succcess of the day with a special event.

The event T-shirts were handed out, and along with them came an umbrella. Klaus Mathies, president of the German parachuting club FSC Remscheid, home of several 4-way and 8-way teams, is a fan of the NSL News and supported SkyQuest 2010 by providing a free umbrella for each participant.

Purpose of his gift was to keep the rain away. He thought that the chances of rain would be little if everybody would have an umbrella. It has worked very well so far, and the participants made the group picture a little party, as the video shows.

Seven of the nine 4-way teams completed two rounds on Friday afternoon, as well. Two more teams will begin tomorrow morning, including top contender DeLand Shmeland. Event judge Eric Heinsheimer arrives Friday night and will catch up with the scores tomorrow morning.

The Kaleidoscope Divers will once again start the day at 7:30 am, and the take-off for the 4-way teams is scheduled for 8:10 am.
